My dad's favorite watch

I bought this unique watch for my father for his 84th birthday because he always had trouble navigating the time difference when he would call me in Japan. Unfortunately, this would end up being my final birthday present for him as he passed away roughly ten months later. He loved the design and when it was returned to me, it was in remarkably good shape (he was very hard on watches). I now wear it regularly and it is really helpful when calling back home. As some other reviewers have stated, the band does seem a little cheap and may eventually have to be replaced but for now it's holding up just fine. Because of the memories attached to it, I'll treat it well and hope that it lasts a long time.

Useful, easy to read and set.

Long term review - purchased this watch in 2015. Very nice easy to read and set. I agree with other reviewers that the band is stiff, looks and wears better with a band upgrade, see pictures. Battery life is good, about 2 years, very accurate movement. Like all mineral crystals, the crystal shows smudges easily. Overall, this has been a nice addition to my collection for travel and when I have a number of work calls in a second time zone.

simple but elegant

I really liked it and my nephew to whom I gave it as a gift liked it a lot as it can be both Casual and formal wear and very good travel watch as it is dual time. I wanted to get the other blue color- however it is more expensive.

Nice Watch

I got this for my long distance relationship. I actually was surprised when I got the watch because I didn’t realize that one side was gray. For some reason, I thought the gray part was just a glare from the glass on top which made it look a different color. That’s my own fault; I’m sure it mentioned it somewhere but I didn’t notice. I think the watch is still really nice, and was packaged very well. My boyfriend likes it, so that’s all that matters!

Great travel watch, a conversation starter, and good for keeping track of financial markets abroad

I needed a dual time watch while I was traveling in Europe and Amazon sent me this in only two days from the States to Amsterdam. Of course it cost extra but it was totally worth it. I always wear this when traveling overseas and people that have a keen eye for detail always notice it and ask me where I'm from or why I have two dials on my watch. It also matches with pretty much all attire that's business-casual to formal. I would look into replacing the band though. It tends to be on the cheaper side.

Very stiff leather band

I purchased it for my wife. When I opened box I wasn't satisfied. Stainless Steel looks like cheap steel, brushed but to rough for me. Band very stiff, so I didn't even remove protective plastic, just returned it. For $90 I expected something better. I purchase OLEVS for my wife and myself and they look much better. Only $30.00 a piece.

I've never owned a dual time zone watch before but I'm getting used to it pretty quickly. I have it set to the Pacific and Tokyo time zones. The main purpose is so that if I'm in one time zone, I don't accidentally wake up the person in the other time zone. I've had people upset at me for contacting them in the middle of the night. Oops. I have an App on my iPhone that works great, but when I'm out of country or traveling, I have to worry about battery life on the iPhone so the watch makes a nice substitute.

Elegant Simplicity

I really like the elegant, understated, simplicity of this Charles-Hubert dual time zone watch. It is a sophisticated counterpoint to the big-faced saucers that seem to be the rage these days. I live in the Central Time Zone and work in the Pacific Time Zone (Sunday to Thursday commute). I tried keeping a watch in my car set with CST that I could switch once I arrived back home, but I didn't always remember and sometimes found myself having to change the time on the watches to suit where I was wearing whichever watch. Then I found and started collecting (inexpensive - under $100) watches with dual time zones. This is my favorite to wear to work.
