Great for curvy gals!

Finding a winter coat if you are curvy can be tough. I am 5’7 and usually wear a size 6-8 but a “D” chest and rounder butt makes coats impossible to find. This coat fits beautifully in a large. The waist is defined and it is very warm for northeast winters.

This is a very nice quality heavy jacket

This is a very nice quality heavy jacket. I love how warm it is. The jacket zips up high to keep the hood in place and also has drawstrings for windy days. I do wish that the pockets didn’t have metal zippers as they are a little rough on hands/gloves and I worry they may scratch my phone.

Great fit but hood on small side

This coat is very nice, the two weeks it took to arrive after weren't. The coat was listed as Prime shipping. Ordered on December 13th arrived December 27th.

Love it

Normally wear a small but ordered in a medium because I already have a puffy winter coat I wear over t-shirts, etc. I wanted something to wear outside on walks with my dog which I could wear a sweater underneath. The waistline is perfect because it does not make me look like a puffed up balloon. I love the inner half zip, after walking awhile it helps to cool down by unzipping the full length. The hood is big as the other comments have said. Even with a hat under the hood and pulling the zip cords tight the hood is big. The sleeves seems a little short but not bad. Overall love the coat.

Colors are off

I love everything about the coat itself. It’s very warm but they not only sent the wrong color but sent one that doesn’t exist on the listing. I ordered “deep cashew” and the coat came in a light purple and the tag says “taupe”. I looked back on the listing and I didn’t even see taupe as an option so it just makes me questions the seller and if it is an authentic Cole Haan.

Ridiculous hood on an otherwise flattering jacket

Now that I've had it for a year, it's gone from three stars to four. I still think the hood is ridiculous, but it's very practical and the jacket is extremely warm. Walking to work on the most bitterly cold days is a lot less unpleasant than it used to be. -- The one I received was defective, so I may like it better once I get one that isn't. One of the drawstrings for the hood doesn't hold, which is a serious problem because the hood is enormous and won't stay up unless you cinch them up. But I wore it before discovering this defect, so here are my initial thoughts: The good: - Flattering (with the hood down) - Very warm without being bulky; you still have a waist and don't look like you're wearing a sleeping bag as outerwear - The navy is a nice color - Windproof - Sleeves are reasonable length -- don't go over my hands - Does not restrict your stride when walking fast the way some long jackets do The bad: - The hood is just ridiculous up -- it's way too large and you look absurd; OTOH, it does leave lots of room for a hat/earmuffs/scarf - Cuffs of sleeves aren't tight enough -- on a windy day, they won't keep the cold out and the cuffs of my gloves kept slipping out of the sleeves - Zippers sometimes catch on the fabric - Pockets aren't large enough Given the very low price ($110) and that it fits well overall, I will probably keep the replacement when it comes. But I think there's a reason Cole Haan didn't sell out of this at full price. This is not a $300-$450 coat.

Alittle snug when you sit down

I love my new coat although it did rip alittle when I had it zipped and sat down in it. Just be careful. Other then that is so warm and dressy casual.

Nice coat but zipper issues

Good coat,very (very) warm, somewhat flattering with defined waist. But I was surprised that the zipper, which was never smooth, started to pull away from the fabric after only three weeks of use. I will have to hand-sew it, which is a pain.

Not going to recommend

Where do I begin? Firstly picture shows shorter length. Secondly where the shirring on sides is, is not insulated and that part of your body gets cold when its cold out. Thirdly, the pocket zipper got stuck on the lining and I mean really stuck. Its metal so I had to actually cut the lining out to get my phone out of my pocket because the pull on the zipper broke when I tried to move up or down. Do yourself a favour don't get this particular coat. Keep shopping

My new favorite!

Love, love, love it! Being a new immigrant, this is my first Canadian winter and this is one of the first winter coats that I bought. Though the temperatures are going to fall further, so far, I have put this coat on in up to -10°C and everytime I wear it, I literally sweat! So, I'm sure this is going to keep me warm enough in the -30s and -40s as well! Bring it on, Winters! I'm ready for you! Size-wise, I am an L but had to order a size up because L was not available at the time and I really liked this coat so had to get it! It was more like love at first sight! Moreover, for additional layers when the temperature falls further, I'm going to need that extra room in there. So, not a bad decision to get a bigger size.

Was able to wear it first time when the cold hit and I was impressed! Not only by the quality of the coat overall, but just how toasty it kept me. I bought a large size instead of a medium so as to allow for layering but still a flattering fit. Highly recommend!
