Great fit!

I am in love with these! I actually bought 5 pair. Some of each color! My son is special needs and I love that the elastic carries onto the front of the pants verses just elastic on the very back. He isn’t able to button these himself yet because of the elastic wrapping around he can pull them up and down (not as easily as fully elastic but still!) I love that these are not TOO long like a board short. And they have belt loops for his Boy Scout belt! They are sort of a quick dry light weight material which is wonderful. They are not lined however the pockets are mesh. My son is about 80 pound, 7 years old and very fall for his age. The large is pretty loose but he will wear later in the summer. The medium will fit perfectly this spring (like fit fit, pushing too small).

I am an adul petit woman. I used to wear Columbia girls L. It fits me perfectly...

No inner adjustable waist!

The shorts are way too big in the waist and my 8 year old daughter is normal weight and height. Normally this isn't an issue as there is an inner adjustable waist but for whatever reason, these shorts do not have that. So back they go. Why would they remove this feature? as past silver ridge shorts have had the adjustable waist. in fact, it's become an industry standard in gap kids, children's place, etc.
