Waterproof

I've seen reviews that claim these are not waterproof. I would like to state that the pair I received are waterproof as expected. I walk through tall grass heavily laden with dew and though the outside of the shoes get very wet my socks and feet remained dry. Waterproof is a misleading word as nothing is truly waterproof. Given enough time water will get through anything. There is a non waterproof version of these and they may have got those instead... I used to buy Columbia Traverse midrise hikers and loved them and have been looking for a replacement since Columbia discontinued making them and so far these seem to fit the bill. Only time will tell if these Crestwood's have the quality and wear abilities that the Traverse had. They will never be "as good" as the Traverse unless they drop in price but so far seem to be a good hiker.

work shoe

My husband owns a garden center and writes: I am on my feet all day. These shoes see a lot; water, dirt, rocks and the back of many plant and pine straw trailers. They hold up well and I can rely on them to keep me going throughout the day.

This and other similar Columbia versions is all I purchase. I have moderately narrow feet and these offer ample tightening and have always worn well. Only draw back is waterproof is more like resistance.

Great shoes

I wear women’s size 8.5 and prefer a wider toe box for my flat feet. These shoes are great. The 7.5 fits fine, have kept my feet dry on rainy day hikes. Good traction in mud, light snow, etc. The laces constantly come untied, replaced no problem.

Amazing walking shoe and hiking shoe

I started walking more to help with stress and anxiety and man do these shoes help make a difference. Walking through water and mud is nothing for these shoes. They are great for casual walking or even walking in the rain or light snow. I use them several times a week and have seen no signs of wear.

Comfortable but not waterproof

These shoes are comfortable but they’re not waterproof, not even close. Walking in town during a light shower and you’ll be fine. In a downpour, or walking across wet grass, they leak pretty fast

Not waterproof, not breathable

Neither waterproof nor breathable. Not sure how that's even possible. Small amounts of water instantly penetrate. Bought these less than a year ago and already replacing them. Inside heel is worn through, outside mesh has torn in spots from minor abrasion. Avoid these.

Fits snug, get 1/2 size larger

Get a ‘half size larger’ as this shoe fits very snug. It’s nice, just really tight.

Nice shoe, but on the small side

I was very happy with the shoe however it was 1/2 size too small. I will be returning for a larger size.
