Bring these back!
Wore this style on two separate Pilgrimages to Santiago de Compostela. They were comfortable for all-day walking over 35+ days, and looked dressy in the evenings. They washed and dried quickly. There are no practical pockets, but this design keeps the overall look sleek and slim. I would buy again if I could.

Favorites!!
I have a really old pair of these I got at a outdoor store. They fit good, stretch, have a drawstring (so nice when you bloat hiking), don’t feel hot and don’t feel cold. The only thing I don’t like is a lack of pocket for snacks. I can actually barely get my phone in the one pocket. These fit tighter than my originals. I suggest ordering one size up and use the drawstring. Noted they are active fit after I got them. Keeping them because the price was awesome and I’m losing weight.

THE most comfy lightweight outdoor activity pants ever!
If you're like me, you want your legs covered, but you don't want to be swimming in your own sweat! These pants are so lightweight and breezy yet the fabric repels branches, thistles, nettles, water, mud, and anything else you encounter. If the weather is like a swamp outside and you still need to wear long pants, you'll keep cool and dry in these. Also, I have these in another color and wear them kayaking! I'm extremely pale and don't want to burn, plus water just seems to bead up and bounce off of them. My friends are all getting wet-- then cold-- while I'm dry and comfy! Oh-- and did I mention that the drawstring leg cuffs come in really handy when you need them. PLUS the little zipper pocket on the leg is the PERFECT place to secure your car key or lip balm. Just make sure you're wearing athletic/sports underwear that doesn't make panty lines as these pants can be a tad clingy unless you go up a size. I recommend panties that will wick moisture, and that have flat edge binding around the legs. Here's why I'm only giving the pants four stars... I kind of wish there was a snap or Velcro closing as the drawstring is just one more step you have to take to suit up. I can't explain it. The drawstring is a little bit of a pain. I mean, if there's already a fly. Maybe put Velcro tabs on the sides so you can adjust between sizes...? Otherwise, LOVE the pants. And the grey color is not too cool, not too warm, but right in the middle so it makes for a great neutral. Looks amazing with hi-viz and bright colored tops!

Just a bit short of excellent
These pants are a bit baggy and definitely too long. Columbia makes them in at least two inseam lengths, but the shorter one was not available anywhere when I needed to buy pants in a non-cotton fabric for a hiking trip. Hey, Columbia, how about producing a few more of the short inseam ones next year? Fortunately they do have drawstrings at the ankles, which let you cinch them up, and that prevents them from dragging on the ground -- but I'd still rather have them shorter to save the extra weight of the fabric. If you wear them with hiking boots you sure don't need them to fall to the ground -- I'd prefer a 27-28 inch inseam, actually, even for wearing with trail runners or other low shoes. I think they are big enough at the bottom to be able to pull them off without removing most hiking boots when those drawstrings are fully extended, but I'm not certain since I have not had to try it yet. Check it out before you remove tags and decide to keep them, if that's important to you. The fabric is a good weight -- not skimpy or clingy or cheap, so if you carry some extra pounds these pants will not show them to the world. The nylon fabric is quite stretchy but it also springs back to its original shape nicely, after stretching. There are double-top-stitched seams down the center-front and center-back of each leg. These don't show up too much, imo, but I mention it since some people don't like such seams. There are two inside seams, parallel and about two inches apart, on the insides of the legs and across the crotch of the pants. These are ordinary seams and not top-stitched. I guess this panel construction might make it easier to do the splits or rock-climb in the pants, though I don't do anything that stretched-out any more, so I can't say for sure. The outside of each leg is therefore free of seams. There's only one pocket, mid-thigh on the front of the left leg, with a zipper. I found the pocket big enough to keep my headlamp and pocketknife in, which is about all I need when I'm in camp in the evenings. The stretchy fabric allows you to put plenty in the pocket, and the zipper is long enough - but the pocket's low position on your leg makes it a big inconvenient to use. These pants will keep you warm in the evenings in camp, for 3-season wear. Being synthetic, I expect they will also be helpful to retain body heat in light rain, though this did not come up on my trip. The pants are well-sewn, like all Columbia garments I've tried so far. This company seems to have pride in what they produce. I plan to look to them first, for my future hiking clothing needs.

Comfortable, functional, great fit.
Decided to give these pants a try after reading other positive reviews. Glad I did. These pants are lightweight and comfortable with long enough legs for my height (5' 8") and just the right amount of stretch through the waist. I ordered two pair with slightly different product numbers, but they turned out to be identical as far as I can tell. I got them for hiking, but the are also comfortable to wear them around the house, in the yard, and to the grocery store, etc. They appear to be water repellant / resistant which is great for the climate I live in. No real downside -- Only one pocket and could always use more, of course. Also, don't really see the need for the stretchy bands they put in to gather the pantlegs at the ankles. I did remove one completely as it was hanging out of the pantleg and I didn't want to snag it on anything in the woods... Overall, a big thumbs up from me, though. It's a relief to order something online that fits this well and is functional to boot.

Nice pants, but the only pocket is near the knee.
It is difficult to find plus size travel pants that are comfortable, dry quickly, and fit. I find it hard to imagine that these can be considered travel pants when the ONLY pocket is below the knee! Nevertheless, I kept them, and constructed my own security pocket, with zipper, that I attached inside the pants. Come on, Columbia! Even plus size women need pants with pockets!

quality lacking after a few washes
love the material, cut and fit, problem is the stitching came out on the waist after about 6 washes.

Thin Summer walking trousers
Tight comfortable fit with a bootcut leg. 1 pocket doesn't fit a phone. Thin material so wear thermals if walking in winter.

My favorite pant!
These are the best pants, so comfortable, very stretchy and flattering. I find them water resistant as well! Bring out different colors in these pants!

Awesome!
Exactly what I was looking for. Perfect length, the right amount of give. I was so nervous buying these as the last Columbia pants I bought were too short. I am very happy with these, I decided to order a second pair. Nice light weight pants.

Best pants for everything.
Love these pants! This is my 3nd pair of these pants, I wear them mostly for work but do use them for casual wear. They are so comfortable and have stretchy material. I originally ordered size 4(which I owned the same pair bought in store that fit perfectly) they were way too big so I reordered size 2.. still a tad loose but will do.
