Columbia omni lining winter coat for the win!

I love this coat. The color, the length, the warmth from the inner lining. The hand "glove,:" isn't really needed, but it's a nice feature of the coat. I had a shorter version of this coat last winter, but I was too hard on it. (I wouldn't take it off right away when I got home; the armpits eventually showed sweat marks, gross) I'm taking better care of this coat.

Wonderful coat

This is such a fabulous coat. I took this on a trip to Ireland. The temps were between 35 and 55 Fahrenheit during our trip. This coat was so perfect for that weather that my husband was tired of hearing me say how much I loved my coat. I’m pretty sure it would have been comfortable in colder weather as well. Super lightweight and comfortable. I think it runs a bit small however. I first ordered an XL which is my normal size, needed to return for a 1X which fit perfectly.

Very light and thin and yet very warm!!!

This jacket was worth the money. I love that it is extremely lightweight and it covers my butt. It is generous in the hip area, but not too big. Love it!

Oddly warm

I went back and forth over this coat for almost a month. I read reviews, I read info from an outdoor gear testing company (which rated the Mighty Lite slightly warmer than the Heavenly), etc. I’m in the Chicago burbs and it gets cold and windy here. I ordered and returned the first one, a Large because it was too tight around my hips. (I’m 5’5” and 170, size 12 jeans) I reordered and then returned an XL because there was a manufacturing defect in the stitching. So finally I got my XL. It fits perfect and I can easily wear a sweatshirt underneath. The sleeves are a little longer than I’d like but my previous coat of another brand they were much too short so long is fine. Pockets are a little low for me and length wise the hem hits a couple inches above my knee which is perfect. I say it’s oddly warm because it is. This coat is extremely thin and very misleading. I thought no way was this going to be comfortable. It’s now seen me through a handful of recess duty (45 min outside in the cold not really moving a lot). I wasn’t cold, I wasn’t hot, I was just perfectly comfortable with an added hat and mittens (and winter weight clothing-I usually have a sweater or cardigan or something with my outfit in winter.) It was low to mid 30’s and a little windy. While I wouldn’t wear it on recess days in the 10’s and 20’s, I have an 850 down for that, I’d definitely wear it for shopping, and out and about errands on those days. This is really a great coat so far. If you’re on the fence, grab it!

Don’t let “lightweight” fool you

I bought this coat for a trip to Boston and Rhode Island in March. I was terrified that the “lightweight” description meant it wouldn’t be warm. This coat is awesome! The length is perfect (knee length on me at 5’6”. It’s water proof! The wind never penetrated it and I stayed warm the whole trip! It is lightweight enough to be easily rolled up for packing. LOVE LOVE LOVE this!

Nice Jacket

This is a nice jacket - except it has 'patch pockets' that really aren't functional. I prefer side pockets that are more functional. Had to return.

Bought for NYC

This is a great coat. It was very warm and came down long enough to keep me cozy. When I got too warm it was very lightweight to throw over my purse strap and carry miles and miles of stairs. I’m 5’9” and 190lbs. Got an XL. Plenty room to layer underneath.

Update, amazon was able to help resolve this issue and i was able to retun the coat. Very impressed with amazons customer service and happy i can return this coat as i am sure it must be defective. I have had very few issues with things i have purchased from Amazon but when I do they are always amazing at helping to resolve and issues or return item. So disappointed with this coat. I love so many things about it. It is very lightweight but extremely warm. I live in nova scotia and I could probably use this as my winter coat through the whole season. The negative is that is looks awful after a few uses. It looks like it has stains all over it. I think it has something to so with the iridescent look. I can no longer wear this out in public as it looks like I have spilled things all over it. I tried washing it, following the manufacturer instructions and still looks the same. I can't figure out why it even looks like this. I use this as my car/shopping coat and have not spilled things on it. Unfortunately I am past my time to return. I have only worn this coat for around 3 months. I am not sure if the black one is the same. This may even be defective but I wouldn't buy it again. I am now out alot of money and no winter coat. I have not reached out to the seller as I see no way to do so.

Snug on the hips

I love the lenghth and fabric of this jacket , with the thin coat of insulation and Omni Heat membrane, perfect for Spring/ Fall/mild Winters.. but if you have a smaller torso and slightly wider hips, it might not be for you. The sleeves are also a bit wide and long. Had to return, but worth a try as Amazon offers great service and flexible returns!
