Too small/form fitted

I've been wearing Columbia shirts for several yrs but recently they seem to be changing the fit on some of their shirts - and not for the better. Some are suggesting to size up - which I did - but the shirt proportions are still off. This shirt is very tight in the waist even in a large yet loose on top. For reference I can wear a sm/med in Columbia and sm in Sonoma. I was going to layer it so I can wear it unbuttoned but just seems like there is little quality control. The same issue now also with their Lo Drag and Tamiami. And I have a number of Tamiami shirts so it is a design change. This shirt works if you're tall, very thin and busty. Short and petite is a different story. The fabric is nice but the tabs for rolling up the sleeves are inches too long also. I can button the tabs with the sleeves almost completely unrolled. So that will have to be fixed too.

Runs small!!

Love the material. 100% cotton. Do not go by what Amazon suggests because they are clueless. Said I should order a small. Right. Nope. XL and it is tight around the middle. Order at least one size up. Fitted and does shrink a bit. These do not fit like the other Columbia shirts. Didn't bother to send them back as I can use them over tank tops until that 10 lbs magically falls off. ????
