RV 50 Amp Female to 30 Amp Male Adapter

Very satisfied with this product. The electrical cable to run 60 ft. from breaker box to put in a new 50 Amp receptacle is approx. $2.65 a foot so this item is perfect for a short time fix-it until the weather warms up and I will need the higher Amps to run the A/C, water heater, microwave, & clothes dryer without tripping the breaker. It is a high quality product and the shipping was very speedy (AND REASONABLE). Very good value for the price paid. Much better deal and better service than eBay. Started internet auction buying with Amazon in 1999 then went to eBay when eBay was a very person to person site. Now it is over-run with retailers and middle men that never see the items they sell. I purchased an item listed as NEW off eBay, paid immediately with Pay Pal on Jan 14th. Took 3 weeks to receive the item which was missing parts. Finally reached seller by phone and was told he had no control over packaging as he bought from 3rd party but would promise to ship missing piece in 2 days. I receieved it 2 weeks later. Although Amazon is not an auction format now, with it's New/Used format you can find as good, if not better prices on Amazon and the shipping costs are kept in line. It is very aggravating to pay for US Priority shipping and then wait a month for your item or to have a very low auction price only to realize shipping fees are outrageous. I would think eBay would monitor that practice as their fees are based on auction/listing price. Looks like I will be checking Amazon more frequently again. Thank you!

Does what it is supposed to do

Got this pigtail to plug my 50amp trailer service into a 30 amp receptical. It works but be sure the receptical is wired with the black and white wires on the correct side or you will have 110volts to ground on the white wire. the pigtail simply splits the 110 coming through the black wire and sends 110 to each side of the trailer panel. If it isn't wired right it will send 110 to the white neutral bar on the service. That is not the fault of the pigtail but will expose the ignorance of the guy who wired the receptical.

Good solid product. Feels like it will last. Works perfectly. (like the little blue light on top of the male end) Took my long 30amp cord out of the loop and gave me good results (less of a voltage drop) stepping down from 50 to 30 to 20 amps. Keep that run as short as possible if you are in a park that only has 20 amps. My rigs 50amp cord going into a 50amp TRC Portable Surge Guard, going into this Pigtail then into a 30 to 20 adapter.

Fast Shipping, Quality

This was bought for our '08 37' 5th Wheel and it arrived fast and is a very heavy duty cord adapter. I immediately plugged it in to home power and it worked great. I have been using it for a few months now as my 5th Wheel has been parked next to the house. I have noticed no heat coming through the cord. I'm impressed with the quality of it and would recommend it to others.

very easy to convert to 50 down to 30amp with this item. and its made very tuff. my dog got ahold of this and was playing with it for awhile before i realized he had it. was not plugged in at the time. dog okay,but this item is tuff even after my big dog chewed on it it worked fine and was not damaged. bow..wow....

My plug adapter was too heavy for some of the 30-A receptacles in some campgrounds, so this new adapter was the perfect solution for my problem...plus i can now actually CLOSE the door on the pedestal.

Good price and did the job. The loss of a star is because my actual product has less than 5 inchs of cable between the plugs which in my opinion was a little deceiving from the picture.

I purchased this to charge Tesla at campgrounds and it works great. Note: it does require swapping of hot and neutral to work with Tesla and I did this by purchasing the CAMCO 55353
