Corelle never disappoints

Been using Corelle for decades in my family. Love that it's lightweight and carefree. Haven't broken one yet and I tend to break or chip plates quite often.

So Pretty

I love, love, love these dishes. I used to have a set of some other Corelle dishes. I really liked the durability of them. I gifted them to my son when he moved out. So time to find a new set. These are super cute. Soooo glad I got them.

Pattern is crooked, bowls take up more space

I received these dishes today and while they feel to be of the same quality as the other 3 sets of Corelle I have had over the years I am disappointed in the pattern on the smaller plates and the cereal/soup bowls. A reviewer noted the pattern felt gritty, not smooth. That does not appear to be the case with the set I have. Other reviewers noted the size of the bowls. I was not surprised at that because I do have two different sizes from past sets, both are different shapes/sizes and I measured the quantity of each so I knew what I was getting with this set. What does surprise me, however, is that the bowls do not sit together in a nice compact stack like every other piece of Corelle I have had for 40 years. The accompanying picture shows 6 of the new bowls vs 8 from my previous set. My cabinet space is limited and I honestly don't know if I'll keep the new ones in the cabinet or buy others that are plain white and do stack. I'd just continue to use the ones I have but the rim is green. The pattern on the new bowls is not even really indicative of the Portofino pattern. It looks like some random blue pattern from years and years ago. The Portofino pattern is very pretty and perfect on the dinner plates but but it is really, really crooked on the smaller plates. I am telling myself that once food is on the plates nobody will notice, but should covering up the whole reason why I purchased this pattern be an acceptable criteria for a dinner service?

Beautiful set.

I've had this set for over a year. It looked great when I got it and looks great still. It's light, which is the reason I went with Corelle, and it's durable. Great buy. It should last me a long time.

Color not exact

I ordered Mystic Gray thinking it was a slate color from website photos but it has a green tint to it. It’s still cute but doesn’t go with our decor.

Oily!

When I unboxed the items, I tough it’s used because some of the dishes had been orange oily!!! I washed dishes 2 times , The oily substance was cleaned, but the orange color was a little less, but it was not completely cleaned! I ordered 2 sets and bought boxes had same issue. I don’t know what was the oils things but I’m sure it’s come from manufacture.

Simply Elegant Everyday Dishes

This is the 3rd set of Corelle dishes I have used over the past 40 yrs. The first set lasted the longest. Overall have found them to be able to withstand average daily family use with the exception of the edges chipping or having slivers of glass break off over time. I recently purchased the 3rd set and one of the small plates had a pretty significant chip off of the edge that is sharp. Rather disappointing. These dishes are not cheap. Not sure if sending a replacement is a possibility but would certainly be a a wise gesture from a customer satisfaction standpoint. If for some reason a dish is broken, they will break into a million tiny slivers of sharp glass that are like needles. They do not break easily but when this occurs you have quite a mess to clean up.

Great product

I love this product. I bought a bunch years ago. They never chip, or get scratched. As my kids getting older, I decided to add this to the ones I had bought before. They go in the dishwasher, microwave, and are light weight. Excellent for every day use.

This is exactly what you expect: light dishes that don’t break, look great for day to day, and don’t take up a lot of space. Recommend it.
