Best I've found so far, but could be better

I'm in my early 40's, have fine lines under my eyes and pretty oily acne-prone skin that is also nice enough to give me the double whammy of getting dry and peeling in some areas in wintertime. So, some of what is in this review may or may not apply to you. :) When I first put this powder on it totally accentuates the lines under my eyes, and if I have any flaky spots those are accentuated as well. I almost tossed this out the first time I used it because I was not thrilled with suddenly looking 20 years older! However, I was in a hurry that day and didn't have time to start my makeup routine over. After about an hour this powder had somehow sort of meshed with my skin. It wasn't sitting in my lines, and the flaky bits were not very noticeable at all. I was impressed! For a while I used this powder as a foundation as well, and I did find that I would have to start blotting after 4 to 5 hours, which isn't any better or worse than most other powders out there. Recently I've started using a BB cream for oily skin that has salicylic acid in it, and combined with this powder I get a lot of compliments on my skin. The BB cream keeps the oil from overwhelming the powder so everything stays in place for 9 or 10 hours with no blotting, and no creases! If you're looking for a "radiant" powder, this probably isn't the one for you. Personally I prefer a pretty matte look, so that didn't bother me, but some people want that shimmer or dewy type of look, and if that's the case, this probably isn't the one for you. My biggest complaint is that like all of Covergirl's products, they are not made for women who are as pale as I am, especially in the winter. I wish they would make this in a shade or 2 lighter than what they're currently offering. I did wear this for quite some time as-is and put up with the bad color match. I was just happy that this didn't oxidize on my face and turn orange like some others I've tried. If I want a better color match I've taken to mixing this with a white "photo finish" powder to lighten it up. (I don't use the other powder on its own because it tends to settle in my lines, but mixed with this powder, it does not) I've also noticed that their color range doesn't go very dark either. If this company would realize that this isn't 1950 and people come in a wide range of colors I would have given this product 5 stars.

Amazing powder for the price!

Holy moly cow! Yes, I wear high end stuff but there seems to be one thing I'll never change as far as makeup goes: this cover girl advanced radiance powder. This powder is amazing. Sure, the compact is no frill: the mirror is tiny and it breaks easily but the quality of the powder itself is so great. It's a great bang for the buck. The powder doesn't settle in fine lines, covers beautifully, and doesn't make me break out. It's so light weight but gives great coverage. It definitely competes with all them high end products.

As good as some high end setting powder

I bought this for setting my face and under eye. I’m a 36 year old woman with dry skin. I wear my makeup for long days (10+ hours) and is like it to look decent at the end of the day. This powder is a great product when you don’t want to shell out for pricey Sephora product. Sets the under eye nicely without being too drying, leaving a soft, smooth finish.

Holy grail powder.

This is my holy grail powder, it leaves your skin looking youthful. It doesn’t highlight any wrinkles or spots or make you look cakey. It’s seriously the best. I haven’t been able to find this one in Canada so it’s great being able to access it here.
