I have yet to use this. It's too much maintenance and too many parts to clean. It looks like and good humidifier but it takes too much effort to clean and keep up with it and I just don't have the energy. I haven't even used it yet because of all the directions to clean it. It's too much, I waited too late past the return window so now I'm stuck with it.

Just fair for a room steamer

I kept the steamer because it serves a dual purpose but the nose design steam plastic piece is simply uncomfortable. Just like the Vick's design. It is the same design across many products so I suspect it is a govt mandated, safety design style. There must be better ones than this as the steam does not hit my nose properly. As a room steamer, it is also just fair. Not a ton of steam comes out of either the room steamer nor the nose attachment. The size of the water chamber is excellent and it runs almost all night long on a single fillup but it just doesnt steam my clogged nose properly.

Works GREAT! 1 year review

I broke my first unit and purchased a second because these are GREAT. Its been a year and it working like new. VERY easy to fill and clean! 1 fill lasts about 8 hours. Adding the menthol pad or gel is super easy. the mask addition is perfect for intense treatment. I use filtered/distilled water so no build up on the heating pad.

I wanted to love it

At first this was super simple to use, but after cleaning it the red seal from the cap came off and I found it inside the tank and water everywhere- ruined my sons dresser.. I re-attempted (I know) using the humidifier- put the sealer back in the cap and found that If I tightened the cap too tight it would leak- so there was a fine line- it worked … well it did for 3 nights of my 4 year olds COVID and then the clear plastic holding the water started cracking and again water everywhere- I threw it in the thrash and went out and bought a Vicks humidifier

A life-saver - made me able to breathe and sleep more comfortably!

A dual/function, space-saving invention! Kudos to Crane for dreaming up this device! I add eucalyptus essential oil to the specially provided cup and my bedroom smells heavenly! This device aids my sleep and my only quibble is it doesn’t hold enough water to make it through the night without running out and shutting off. I know it is out because I wake up after it runs out and have to refill it. Having just suffered through a miserable cold with very stuffed nose and sinuses, I have used this continuously throughout the day and night and will continue to do so even after my cold is gone. The steam inhaler works very well as well. A safe, drug-free way to treat a cold! I was too sick to even think of going to my health club to use the steam room. This device may have helped cure me either directly by helping to clear out my congestion and/or indirectly by helping me sleep so much better!! i just needed same-day delivery - had to wait two agonizing days for it to arrive! One small item - the small cup that holds the essential oil is surrounded by steam which vaporizes it into the air, which is correct, but it also comes back down and wets the inside of the machine with a small amount of the oil. i am fine with this but need to find out if this will eventually harm the machine. Directions caution not to add oils to the inhaler water area and this is where the small amount of oil is ending up. All in all, a great device!! So glad i found it!!! And no white dust either!!!

Great as a personal steamer, and for small rooms.

This unit is sold as a personal steamer, and or a room humidifier. The two units are well designed, interchangeable The personal steamer f you are suffering from bronchitis or asthma, or light pneumonia, ia great ! Steam ranges from low to high, high cold be higher, although one must be patient. Two side slots for pads with herbal ingredients, works great. Suffering from sinusitis, bronchitis, a touch of pneumonia, I TRULY RECOMMEND THIS !!! As a room humidifier, perhaps I am missing something, it woould only be appropriate for a very, very small bedroom. Buying this unit for a personal steamer, is what makes this unit a true valuable piece, and as a small steamer for a bedroom, is ideal. Seriously recommend this !

Works OK

So I have mixed feelings about this one, mostly because i'm pretty frugal and I'm not sure if i'd have paid nearly $70 had i seen it first. Anyway, it heats up fast and steam volume amount is just OK even on HIGH. The two heat settings only work on Humidifier mode but NOT on Steam Inhaler mode. It does have an easy to use gate valve assembly for regulating steam amount on inhaler mode though. The inhaler attachment fits good. It's made of a softer plastic that allows it to mold to face size for a comfortable fit. Overall its OK.

bought this device for my nasal congestion due to Rhinitis and it did help a lot with the use of the steam feature... it is easy to setup and easy to use...has safety feature for controlling the amount of steam with the use of the lever on the side..also has light indicators...

Not as effective as it could be

As a small humidifier it works well... as a steamer for inhaling... it sucks. The unit puts out hot air but very little steam. So you are better just inhaling the steam from the humidifier instead of the steamer part.

Misleading advertising

The whole point of an inhaler is to be able to use essential oils with it. The Q&A section for this product says that essential oils CAN be used with it. But when I received the product, the instructions say DO NOT use essential oils with it. This is misleading. Why hasn't the Q&A section been corrected to reflect the product's true instructions???
