Cost to high!!!
The pads work great for 5 - 7 minutes. After that, they fall of greatly. The cost is extremely high for the purpose purchased.

Hook and loop?
The pad does it's job great but good luck keeping the pad attached to a dual orbital hook and loop system

Not what I expected
I used these on my random orbit sander to polish up some aluminum parts. I expected a backing to attach to the hook and loop, there is none. These are no different than cutting a circle out of any Scotch-Brite sheet, at a considerable more cost. They fly off the hook an loop almost immediately and don't last very long at all. You would need bigger "Hook" in the hook and loop or like I mentioned a bonded backing pad that then attached to the hook and loop like sandpaper does.

Un-useable, poor quality, junk product
Generally, #M products are pretty bullet proof. This is the first 3M item i have ever purchased which is total garbage, and unusable. the problem with these discs is the poor quality of the hook and loop backing. when these discs are attached to the sander, the backing instantly degrades, shreds, fray, becomes loose and unraveled, and the disc is thrown from the machine. I tried a variety of speeds with the same failed result. I have checked the hook and loop mating surface of the machine with other abrasive hook and loop discs and it works flawlessly. I contacted #M about these defective discs and they got right back to me telling me that product quality was not their concern. They referred me back to the distributor for quality issues. That is strange, I think. The distributor did not manufacture the discs. Oh well! I will be returning the unmounted discs to Amazon for a refund, and I will not buy this product again. I would recommend avoiding this product and not wasting your time and money.
