Does a great job with grilled cheese.

I really do appreciate the way this grill speeds up the grilled cheese process--but, I hate having to clean it afterwards. Even though the cooking surface is non-stick, the areas around the surface are not. I've tried spraying all the surfaces, taping aluminum foil over them, and wrapping wax paper around the hinges and wires. These workarounds help, but they do take time--plus, it's just annoying.

No need to change.

This is a replacement for essentially the same model, One we had for over 20 years before it finally and peacefully quit. Many ham, cheese and red onion toasties with honey mustard passed through. See you again in 2043!

It Makes a Hot Sandwich Well

This is a bit smaller than I was expecting, and I was a little ambitious with the size of the sandwich I could make. Overall though, I like it and will downsize the "thickness" of the sandwich. The start stop light worked and the latch holds it together until the appliance deems it ready, and it was right. I liked the crispiness of the bread I used for the sandwich.

Good product

We have had used a sandwich maker since the 90's. The Cuisinart product has held up very good, but recently had to repurchase after the light stayed on constantly. Easy to clean, heats evenly and is nice to have for quick lunches. The negative of this new one is, it compresses the bread much more than the previous one we had. Still a great product.

Disappointed!

This is a mini-sandwich maker. I was shocked when I opened the package and saw a tiny compact sandwich maker that looked more like a toy. It didn't definitely meet my expectations from a Cuisinart kitchen appliance, it's more like what you find in Walmart for under $20. Consider these before you buy this product: The plates are narrow and won't fit majority of bread slices. The main body is made of plastic, doesn't seem durable and long lasting. It's not suitable for families or as a regular kitchen appliance. Suitable for kitchenet and small places, serves one person.
