The outside measurements of the frame are NOT 8 X 10. They are 7 3/4 x 10. Since these are the outside measurements, picture would have to be even smaller. The silver frame itself is only about 1/4" all the way around, so it is not as thick as it appears. It also does not have a hook to hang the picture. The detailing on the frame is very pretty though I was very disappointed and really wanted this to work, but I do not want to cut down my photos and it looks tiny next to actual 8 x 10 frames, particularly with the thin edges.

Beautifully presented, but not first quality

Product was advertised as 2mm thick sterling silver. However, one of the frames I received showed signs that it was plated, and that the plating had come off. I would have returned the product, but I needed it urgently as a gift. Thankfully, it was only slightly noticeable, but given the price I paid, this was not the quality I expected. Plated frames can be bought for about a quarter of the price or less. The wooden frame is however beautifully crafted. It came in a box too big for the frame, which resulted in the frame slipping and sliding in the box. Overall, I wish the product was truly sterling silver and properly boxed. Then it would have received an unqualified 5 stars. Buy only if you are prepared to have to deal with the pain of a return if you get a defective item.
