Doesnt fit

Give it 3 stars because it looks well built. I can’t use it as it doesn’t fit my trailer hitch (2021 keystone bullet). Using a regular old padlock instead. Missed the return window so now I’m stuck with it.

Hitch Latch Lock

Excellent little trailer hitch latch lock! (Say that fast a few times) I had to drill out the hole on the hitch latch as it was only 1/4" in diameter. (same size as the lock pin) Opened the hole that the lock pin slides through to 9/32" and it works great. It's rather stylish too! I fully recommend locking the hitch latch while on or off the tow vehicle for your own peace of mind.

Good Lock So Far

Good lock just a little bit of play and there is too much room to squeeze in bolt cutters so could be a little tighter or could spacers. Doesn't seem as solid as my other coupler lock tho. But we'll see how this holds up in the outdoor weather. Initially seems like a good lock.

I bought this because I had a Master lock adjustable ...

I bought this because I had a Master lock adjustable (notched bar) forced open by a towing company so I replaced it with something more secure. I deducted 1 star for not having a matching receiver lock. Now I carry 2 keys instead of 1.

Nobody will steal your pin.

I doubt that if some professional trailer thiefts will decide to steal your trailer, this device will stop them, but definitely it will provide some "very" basic protection and at least nobody will steal your security pin.

Not reliable

Reliable for 10 months, then seized up and would no longer lock. Expected to get a few years from this. Disappointed.

Unreliable Functionality

Unfortunately this lock only lasted 2 months of very light use (approximately 4 short trailer trips). Other than those drives it lived dry and safe on a shelf in my garage. The ball bearing inside that locks the pin in place gets stuck in the retracted position when the pin is removed and it becomes almost impossible to re-lock in normal use. Sometimes if I hit the side of the head while trying to lock it with the key I get lucky and the ball bearing dislodges from its stuck position and I manage to lock it - but last trip it took about 10 minutes to do this so I could get my boat safely home. I no longer trust this lock and recommend you look for a more reliable lock and brand.
