Works well, requires car disassebly

Goes in well enough. Getting behind the brake lights was more annoying than I would like, but that is Toyota's problem, and not Curt's. Install was easy enough, and everything works okay. Have used successfully with my utility trailer a few times now.

Buy Tokonsha 118610 Instead

Easy to install (takes about 1 hour) but left/ right turn signal did not work. This seems to be an ongoing issue if you read through the negative reviews. I purchased the Tokonsha 118610 which has similar setup/ installation and it worked as designed.

Counter fit product not made by Curt. Failed in less than 3 months

This is not made by Curt, and has failed in less than 3 months of use. The solid state relay that controls the left turn signal no longer functions, and therefore the left turn signal, and brake light no longer work either. The running lights still work, but this means pulling a trailer is not longer legal. I noticed the lack of curt logo on the package when I received it, but it fit, and worked so I did not worry about it, but now it has failed outside of the return window. Fantastic. I will contact amazon and see what they will do about it, or I could always buy another, and see if that one fails within the return window.

Super easy installation!

This could not have been easier to install. The kit came with everything I might possibly need but the controller and bundle of wires were already wired up to the correct lengths and ready to install. I did remove the two tiedown points under each tail light access and the screw at the top of those interior panels just inside the hatch door for a little more access for fishing the wires. I also ran the driver side wire through holes below the sill after putting it in some wire loom. The control box fit nicely next to the body ground for the battery (which was also a convenient ground for the harness) and the positive connection fit perfectly on the the main positive bolt under the protective cover. The whole process took about an hour although I could probably do it now in almost half the time.

Very very simple installation The price is too expensive fit the vehicle well I don’t recommande Just plug my trailer and no lights work and I plug a 12v battery on my trailer and it work

After a month of using it, its now popping fuses on my rear brake lights
