Useful VW Atlas

It's on my 21 Atlas 2.0 4 motion. Here's how it went in. The box, some say needs more wiring, is wrapped in bubble wrap and secured on the shelf behind the cover-it works and doesn't rattle. I ran an additional 7 pin kit that plugs right in and ran the 4 pin through the rubber plug-down- that the black hot wire goes through and the 4 pin to the hitch. It looks factory with no lose wires . Referenced Curts YouTube video for installing. Note they run the pigtail through the rear hatch.

Works w/ modification

Harness doesn't fit 2021 Volkswagen Atlas without modification to the rear light connectors. Works well after that.

Perfect

Perfect fit for my 2019 VW Atlas. Took about 6 hours to install since I don't have a lift. I had to my ramps for the front then move then to the rear to finish the install.

Missing parts.

Product received was good accept missing the inline fuse wire and power wire. This is needed for installation. :(

Not as pictured

This worked on my 2019 atlas, but the control box was only about 10 inches from the left blinker harness, so I had to splice in another foot or so of wire (yellow wire pictured) to put the box in a suitable central location. Either I got a returned unit that someone had hacked up, or this is not plug and play for the atlas.

Its ok.

Easy installation. However, the driver side wiring is barely long enough and does not reflect the install video. Made mounting the black box difficult.

Easy to install and works as advertised

With just a little bit of wiring knowledge, it’s very easy to install and it works great. I did cut the plug off and pull through the hole with the hot wire. Didn’t want to hang the plug out the tailgate.
