Not worth a dime!

The gears inside this valve is partially plastic! After using the shower 1 time, it stripped out and wouldn’t turn off!! I ordered 2 of these before our major construction project began so all project pieces were ready for my contractor and since our project took a while (including the holiday), it’s too late to return them! I’m out the original cost and now the cost to buy new ones…. and the cost to rehire a plumber to replace them!

Nice upgrade

I like this alternative kit for an updated bathroom. Unfortunately I was unable to use the handle because I do not have the correct valve for Delta so I cannot review on that installation. The shower head was easy to install but make sure you are putting the arm on the correct end because once you screw it on it chips the black finish. I did notice that I lost some water pressure with this new attachment though so just keep that in mind.

Cheap for Delta quality and a great shower set…

At a great price for a shower faucet trim set from Delta, this set comes without the rough-in valve (which you will need to purchase, see link below) but including eveything else required for installing your shower fixture in the box. This is a quality set. Delta is never cheap, but this is about as inexpensive as you can get for a Delta bathroom fixture. The ferrule and escutcheon for the control valve are somewhat lightweight, but that’s typical of quality shower trim pieces in this price range. You need to spend a good bit more to have heavy solid metal in those pieces, and you don’t need it. The handle IS solid, heavy metal, and that is the piece you will be in contact with when you take a shower. The ferrule and escutcheon are made of metal, unlike some equally expensive sets from other quality manufacturers. There's nothing fancy about the features of this set. It's a simple showerhead, no rainfall pattern, none of Delta's H2OKinetic outlets, just a fine quality head with silicone outlets that are simple to clean and never clog. Delta makes great kitchen and bathroom plumbing fixtures. It’s a top-notch manufacturer with a top-notch lifetime warranty you can trust. I’ve had nothing but good experiences with Delta customer support over warranty issues. If you like the looks of this trim set, you’ll like the actual product even more. Good for the money.

This is a quality Delta is rarely modest, however this is comparably cheap as you can get for a Delta restroom apparatus. The ferrule and shield for the control valve are fairly lightweight, however that is average of value shower trim pieces in this cost range. You want to spend a decent piece more to have weighty strong metal in those pieces, and you don't require it. The handle IS strong, weighty metal, and that is the piece you will be in touch with when you scrub down. The ferrule and crest are made of metal, in contrast to a few similarly costly sets from other quality makers. Delta makes incredible kitchen and restroom plumbing installations. It's a first rate maker with a first class lifetime guarantee you can trust. I've had only great encounters with Delta client service over guarantee issues.

Excellent Delta quality!

If you need to upgrade your fixtures, you cannot go wrong with Delta. It was what I grew up having in our home, and our fixtures lasted forever. This one is pretty and sturdy. I love the look of it. Installation was straightforward, although you will have to add some additional rough plumbing parts. 5 stars!
