Lights up well!

While the style and the metal are dictated by an HOA, the fixture is providing ample light at my front door and over the garage. The fixture is bright and the bulbs easy to installl.

Looks perfect--- However this is not solid brass

I already wrote about the durability of this plating over steel. It is misleading to say solid brass. Buy some clear lacquer and masking tape before installation.

DECEPTIVE DESCRIPTION--- PURCHASE WITH CAUTION

I purchased this MADE IN CHINA item based on the DESCRIPTION as listed on Amazon. It SPECIFICALLY states ( in numerous places) that this fixture is SOLID BRASS. This is ABSOLUTELY FALSE !! The BOX it comes in clearly states on all 4 sides --- SOLID BRASS FINISH WITH CLEAR BEVELED GLASS. NO MENTION OF A LACQUER COATING EITHER. The actual fixture is manufactured using thin steel then COATED in a SOLID BRASS FINISH. Mine already snows signs of discoloration on the inside so It must NOT come with any protective coating. See photos. Be sure to look under the inside flaps for the rest of the decorative top parts and a couple long screws before you throw out the box !!! No styrofoam protection inside the box to prevent glass or metal damage..........so if the box is beat up on delivery, I wouldn't accept it. Since fixture DOES NOT come with any kind of protective exterior coating, if you scratch it during installation, you're going to be in trouble down the road. I recommend putting some Painters tape over it for protection. SO BUYER BEWARE....... It's a pretty light, but I don't know that it would stand up to DIRECT exposure to the elements. Time will tell. So the light is just OK at this price point, but don't expect anything more.......thus the 3 stars.

These are very nice for the price! We replace several of our our door lights. It is very easy to get to the bulb to change when the bulb burns out!

Good product and price

Bought 3 for front door and either side of garage doors. Very nice and lower price than similar units sold at major home improvement centers. Only wish they could be reversible mounted, but open bottom does not allow that.
