Doesn't give raccoon eyes and provides good volume
I use several DHC products and am always pleased with their quality. The mascara is a little unusual. While it is water resistant, with water, you can wet your lashes, wait about a minute and lightly pull or roll it off. It comes off completely without soap or makeup remover. I find that a few coats really pump up my lashes. I've been using it for years, and it's my "go to."

This mascara is one of the best that I've used.
I like DHC products. This mascara doesn't clump or volumize your eyelashes. My lashes seem much more natural instead of thick and more unnatural looking.

My holy grail!
I have blonde eyelashes and oily eyelids, so if I don't want to look like an albino I have to tint my lashes, and when I do it usually makes it look like I'm still in my goth phase that ended about ten years ago. I've tried just about everything on the market, drug store and high end. The problems I always ran into were thus... Sure my mascara would look great when first put on, but within an hour I'd be getting transfer to my lids both top and bottom. I was allergic to several formulas as well. And worst of all, many of them were so hard to take off, even with oils, that I'd lose eyelashes in the process of just getting my face clean. What a pain! I heard of this particular mascara through Lisa Eldridge on Youtube. I've used some of DHC's skincare products before and they seemed fine, but I guess I'd never really considered their makeup. Part of that is because they are NOT drugstore priced and there wasn't much for reviews or demos of the products either. Skeptical as I am of trying any product when I haven't seen someone else use it, I'm even more so when it costs three or four times what I pay for things I can walk down the street to a CVS to buy. I have to say, Lisa's use of it really did impress me, and even more so that she has used it several times. I loved the look of it, and when I finally got fed up and started looking for SOME solution to my raccoon problem I started seeing a lot of talk about tubing mascaras. It took a while for me to sorta connect the dots but when I realized that this mascara that Lisa had used not only looked great and performed well enough for her to recommend it, but that it was also geared specifically for people like me who want something that stays on but washes off easily, I snapped this right up. My general impressions of the product itself are thus... - The first thing you will notice is that the tube and wand are both fairly petite. I like this because I feel it gives more control and isn't like a brick in a bag (see: CG Lashblast). - In terms of application, it feels fairly wet going on but dries very quickly. I think it works best, particularly if you have light lashes, to coat the tops of the lashes first and then get the sides that show with your eyes open. This forms a more complete 'tube' which I feel prevents flaking, makes lashes look fuller, and prevents flashes of blonde when you blink. - The look of it is more toward length than volume, but the formula is not thin either. I think it is well-balanced and definitely doesn't need more than one coat for a nice "lashy" look without being clumpy, still relatively natural. - This stuff doesn't budge! I have yet to have it flake or transfer at all, even after 10 hours in a hot kitchen. If you get your face pretty wet it might start to come off, but it doesn't do it in a runny way, just little clumps that can easily be wiped off. - Removal is really easy and I don't find I have to use a separate remover for it. I wet down my face thoroughly with warm water, use whatever cleanser I feel like at the time, and just in the process of getting the rest of my face clean the mascara tubes peel off. It basically looks like little clumps of black goo which don't seem to stain or transfer pigment anywhere, it just washes down the drain. Any straggling bits still clinging to lashes wipe right away with fingers or just about anything else. You won't end up with mascara residue on showing up on your face the next morning, the stuff really is gone.

Works well but pricey
Liked but not sure I would purchase again as they have similar items for less

Very wet formula
The formula glides on smoothly and is very “wet” when it is applied. I find that it did not add much volume or length at all. I love tubing mascaras, but this one fell a little short. I use it with Tarte’s tubing mascara to give it a little more volume. Maybe once it dries out a little, it’ll give a bit more vavoom. Won’t be buying this again.

Going back to what works best
I rarely wore mascara as I would often get irritated eyes from normal mascara, especially when I wore contacts. Heard about tubing mascara and ordered this product from DHC years ago and it was awesome - it didn't flake or smudge and it didn't irritate my eyes. The only downside was that if you wanted to significantly increase the length and fullness of your lashes, this mascara was not the one to do. It did a nice job of defining your lashes and adding a little length and fullness and that was a tradeoff I was more than happy to make to not have irritated eyes, or go without mascara. Over time I switched to the Blinc brand, as it was easier to obtain. It worked as well as the DHC brand. But then, I went to replace my old tube, and discovered that something in their formula had changed. It was irritating my eyes after using it for several days in a row. I thought it was a fluke. After several months of going sans mascara, I bought a second tube. Same thing. Tried the L'Oreal tubing mascara and had the same issue. Since there are times when I don't want to go natural, I decided to try DHC again, especially as I could easily order it via Amazon. Thankfully, this mascara still works as well on me today as it did several years ago with no irritation. Removal: If not removing by gently rubbing my eyes under warm water in the shower, I hold a cotton round that is pretty damp with warm water against the lashline on my closed eye for 15-20 seconds. Gently wiping downwards several times after the 15-20 seconds usually removes the tubes off my eyelashes in quick order.

Definitely Smudgeproof
SMudgeproof for sure and makes the lashes look wet and black. Doesn't do much for curling or volume. Will lengthen a little. This is more for an everyday classic look which I prefer. Can't take the over-lashed, over-mascared look. Makes me look old and outdated.

Only mascara I can use
I have super sensitive eyes that frequently tear up during the day which causes all other mascara to run down my face and by the end of the day I have racoon eyes! This mascara stays in place all day, no running and no smudging. Lasts until I take it off and I use micellus water and a super gentle cleanser and have no issues removing this mascara. Only one I buy over and over again!

Best waterproof mascara
I’m on my second purchase now of this mascara. Smudge proof, Waterproof, removes easily with waterproof eye make up remover, does not irritate my sensitive eyes, lovely black colour, nice thin brush to get to the shorter eyelashes, value for money.

Light, easy to apply, long lasting but second purchase not sealed!
Update: bought a second one but it’s not sealed. Returning it. Such a shame and a waste of time. It’s definitely my go to for an everyday mascara. It’s very thin so need to let it set. Great application wand. Very easy to remove just use warm water.

Finally!!!!
I have had to stop wearing mascara as every one I tried smudged on my oily under eye concealer. I love my concealer and therefore I had to choose that rather than wearing mascara. Until now!!!! This is the only one that doesn’t smudge - it’s taken me years to find it. Highly highly recommended.

Seems to last well
I have a problem with one eye that keeps watering and this is the only mascara I have found that lasts longer before being washed away. Price is competitive and delivery was good.

It doesn't leak! Amazing Mascara.
This is a great mascara. I have oily eye lids that cause mascara to leak. I've tried everything - Lancome Hypnos, Boots No7 tubing mascara etc etc etc. Nothing matches DHC. I got asked today if I was wearing false lashes - nope, just DHC. For the first time I can wear mascara on my lower lashes without resembling a panda. Seriously good stuff, that actually removes with soap and water.
