I purchased this costume for a roaring twenties event for my work. I received multiple compliments and came in second place for best costume. Since it is a costume and not made to where on a regular basis, the material is quite thin and would not stand up to regular wear. That being said, I did not expect it to be high quality suit material, so this wasn't an issue. The hat was i little small for my big head, but overall the fit was what I expected. I would recommend this as a costume, but if you are looking for something that needs to withstand multiple "showings" then I would expect to pay a lot more. This is 100% my own personal opinion. I base my purchases on reviews of the product from others as well. I know that honest and helpful reviews provide insight to the company and to the purchasers as well. Better than I thought

I'm 5' 9" and weight 165 lbs. and ordered the medium. I didn't expect much but was surprised when the costume fit me better than I thought it would. My back is kind of wide from weight-lifting so I won't be able to button the coat up, and I can't bring my arms forward too much, but it's not really a bad fit. The pants are almost right, a little long, but suspenders are included. The hat is a costume quality and works for me. The tie is the only thing that's "cheesy" and I'll use a real one instead. The material and quality is what you'd expect for $45 so I'm a satisfied customer.

Shocking Pleased

I was very hesitant to buy this costume for my fiance since the reviews were not very good. Surprisingly, this costume fit him perfectly. The fabric is thin yet not see through and pretty sturdy for a halloween costume. I did a lot of research, including going to halloween stores to see and feel different material. I decided to purchace this with knowing it could be returned. To my surprise it fit my 6'2" 180 lb guy perfectly. Since we live in the midwest he did have to wear long johns under the pants but over all this is a bang for its buck! Maybe I had low expectations due to the reviews but I think it's a great costume for the price you pay.

Exactly what I needed

Yes, it's "costumey". The material is thin. Don't wear dark underwear or everyone will be able to tell. But I needed a white suit with long-ish coat and gold buttons to play an outlandishly dressed southern gentleman in a stage play, and this fit the bill perfectly. Face it, folks, you're not buying a suit here... you're buying a costume. Totally works for what it is. I substituted a white shirt, string tie, grey wool vest, and a white plantation hat to make it the perfect costume for the show. The costume designer was happy, and I got loads of compliments on the look of the character on the stage.

Perfect dress for the right occasion

This dress is well made and was exactly what I was looking for. It is a great length especially for an event with a lot of small children. I bought I bigger size based on the previous reviews. I am 5'6" 160 lbs, but I am very chesty (34G). A large was too big; a medium would have fit perfectly. The material had just enough give to work for a variety of body types and the adjustable straps ensured it worked well on top as well.

This Suit Is Amazing!

I love it ! The fit is perfect! I'm giving it four stars because the hat is plastic and was a bit dinged up! I just hate that they are selling this as a costume! I'm trying to figure out a way to add some pockets in the jacket and add it to my wardrobe! =]
