Know your correct size

This is a quality product, good materials, chrome plated brass, and beautiful crafted finish. But..... ... wrong size and I had to return this item and buy the correct size. Discussion .... ... Nothing on this part measures 1-1/2", not the thread dia not the inside dia of the opening the stopper slides into and not the height. The actual thread diameter is 1-7/8" and yes the pitch is 11.5 threads per inch. All of this is true for the other brands as well so it is not the supplier's fault, it is the confusing terminology of plumbing pipe size and hardware; don't search for any logic to this you probably won't find any. Advice: measure the inside throat diameter of the drain you are replacing, if it's close to 1-1/2 inches it's a 1-3/8" drain. If it's closer to 1-5/8 inches it's a 1-1/2" drain.
