Don't buy a gas blower...
This blower is awesome. Now if you have a company mowing grass and so forth maybe a large backpack gas blower is your thing, but when I tell you that just this mid level version of this blower can take care of your yard needs and then some I'm serious. The set up and controls are easy. Battery charges super fast. Buy it you won't be disappointed, definitely competes higher than stihl, echo, Husqvarna, and other brand blowers. Best thing is, no spark plug changes, no fuel mixing or buying or spills, and no filter or carb issues when using on dusty stuff, because it don't need nothing but a battery. Thanks

Force of Nature
The factoring setting was on the lowest level, so my very first experience using a blower was satisfying but I remained an adult about it. But when I discovered the "Turbo" setting I began to laugh maniacally, and became a force of nature. I blew my heavy hiking boots clean off the patio, I sent that pile of dried pine needles back to heaven, and the rabbit that lives under the wood pile Bugs Bunnied it clean across the farm field. I swept the kitchen floor in 3 seconds flat., and I will never hand dry my freshly washed car again. This is my secod Ego device (string trimmer), and know the quality and battery run time are excellent. I must now go ask forgivness of the fairies I blasted from their garden and find my hiking boots.

It's awesome but..
So I bought this blower for one main reason. That is because I got tired of using extension cords and my gas blower would take forever to crank. So this is nice. It had great blowing power. Battery charges fairly quickly. However on my first use the battery Ober heated before the job was done and had to quit for a break to let the battery cool back down. Inconvenient for me. However could be because I was using the turbo too much. Probably not meant to use the way I was using it. Overall I believe this is the best of the best for battery blowers and am happy with it. Saves from the tangled drop cords and the gas and oil mixing from gas powered blowers. If you're looking to purchase a blower this is the one. A little pricey but overall worth it I do believe.

It's a bit heavy but I LOVE it!
I've had this blower for several months now and I LOVE IT. It's pretty heavy. The blower itself, then the battery ... pretty heavy and sometimes a little awkward. I'm an 80 yr old lady. I don't have as much strength as I once did. But I manage and this thing REALLY BLOWS. It makes quick work of heavy leaves that need to be blown somewhere else. I use it to blow leaves out of 'nooks and crannies' or off rough terrain and onto the flat carpet grass lawn so I can "vacuum" them up with my mulching lawn mower, bag them and set them out for trash pick up. The battery charges up quickly and is also long-lasting. I highly recommend this blower. I'm only giving it four stars because of its weight and "unwieldiness" but that's probably my fault for being a wimpy elder and not the blower's fault! I'm still very very happy I bought it and couldn't imagine being without it.

Hands down, a great alternative to a gas blower
First, a couple of tips regarding model and battery selection: Unless you are someone who ultimately just needs to have the most powerful offering available, or believes that your equipment has two speed settings (on and off), then save yourself a little money and give the 615 model serious consideration. Under normal use, you won't be using either model at anywhere near their full power settings, except for maybe one or two brief shots. If this will be an addition to other Ego tools that you own, consider the 2.5Ah battery. The battery comprises roughly half of the weight or more for the tool in its usable state. The 2.5Ah battery charges up in 20 minutes on a rapid charger, and if you need to continue working instead of taking a short break, a larger battery such as the 7.5Ah from a lawn mower will easily let you continue while the small battery is recharging. Your arm will definitely let you know about the additional weight of the larger battery, though. The 2.5Ah is about the right size for runtime on a typical work/break interval, but very likely will not get you through a typical yard clean-up job on one charge. Ideally a pair of 2.5Ah would be a good solution for near-continuous use (one charging, one on the tool) and still keeping the tool at a lighter overall weight. Yet, the batteries are the largest cost in this system, so using one from another tool when going non-stop is an acceptable compromise. If this is your first Ego product, then yes, seriously consider the 5Ah battery with the rapid charger. Just be mindful that the tool will be roughly a couple pounds heavier in use. As for the blower, well, it blows...well even. I usually turned the "cruise control" knob to a low to moderate setting and squeezed the variable speed trigger to increase the speed when working a larger cluster or stubborn leaves in a taller patch of grass. When working a developed pile, just turn the speed up or use the trigger more. I rarely found myself ever using the "turbo" button on top, which provides the tool's maximum power. This is the reason for my model recommendations above, though I also recognize that everyone's needs are a little different. Design-wise, the tool feels the most balanced in your hand with the smaller battery, though putting a 7.5Ah battery doesn't necessarily feel awkward, just heavier. An eyelet for an optional shoulder strap might be a nice design consideration for the next generation. For storage, there is a teardrop screw/bolt book on the bottom side for hanging up the tool. It's in a spot that can be a little hard to find when hanging since it's on the bottom and not readily visible. The tool hangs well with the battery installed, but maybe a little more precariously without the battery as the center of gravity changes significantly (again, the battery is roughly half of the weight of the tool). I'd recommend to Ego to include a basic snap bracket that secures the barrel while in storage to provide a more secure two-point wall mount. I was concerned reading a number of review of premature failures. I've used mine for several hours thus far without issue. While there certainly could be a design weakness, I also suspect that there are a few users that run the tool full-out for the entire capacity of the battery. The motor and the MOSFET electronics probably run pretty hot at high speed, and rely upon the blower to provide some level of cooling for both. If using at a higher speed for longer periods of time, it probably would be prudent to run the tool at a low speed for a minute or so before turning it off completely to help cool down the motor and electronics. Overall, it's another solid offering from Ego, a great way to cut the cord from an electric and an even better way to avoid another piece of gas power equipment that normally would see very seasonal/sporadic use and suffer from the problems with that usage pattern.

Ego 615 blower
Worked fine , quiet but burns through battery as others have reported . Main problem with bigger battery is more weight however I had a back up from trimmer purchase

Not "bad"
I have a set of gutter cleaning tools by another company and the very top attachment is more pointed, so I can direct the debris in the gutters better. Overall, I like it and it does work, but with a little tweaking, it could be great.

Pretty good
The price is very good. What I don’t like is the hair trigger, it’s too easy to start when you might not be ready. But it does work well and the battery charger is quick.

Not compatible for UK or Europe power supply!!
Happy to receive after all the great reviews, however the plug head was for USA sockets. Once I found an adapter to plug it into my UK wall socket it blew my fuse box & it smelled burned. HOW CAN AMAZON SELL A ELECTRONIC PRODUCT NOT ADAPTED UK (EU) POWER!! We are 240Hz here, USA 110!!!

Looks to be made out of strong materials
Haven’t had a need to use it yet and am looking forward to it. Seems well constructed and doesn’t seem like it come apart during use but until I actually use it, it is hard to be sure. My guess is it will be a handy tool in the yard.

Product is defective and seller won't take it back.
This product is sending a shock through the trigger and shocking my trigger finger. I've tried holding it in different positions but I get a shock every time. I've tried to return it, but the seller will not accept returns. Very dissappointing. This is a very expensive lesson for me. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT OR ANYTHING ELSE FROM THIS SELLER!!

The battery is not too great
The whole blower is great and is very strong but the only problem is the battery life when it's fully charge doesn't last that long only about 20mins on full blast
