Dead on arrival. Wish I could give zero stars.

This product is "Open on temperature rise". This means it will turn off the power when the water temperature increases to the temperature you set it at. This unit was open at room temperature and stayed open cooled down in the refrigerator. DEFECTIVE. Also, it was supposed to be new but I believe it was a repack of a returned product. The small plastic bag containing a tool and some small parts was open and some parts were loose in the main packing carton. The bag had staple holes in it but no staple. My guess is someone returned it because it didn't work and it was placed back on the shelf and sent to me for my order. I was told I cannot exchange it and would have to create a new order to purchase again and my money would be refunded when i returned the defective one. That was fine but the price had gone up and I had to pay $1.50 plus HST more for the replacement one. Mot the money... the principal.
