So far these safety lights have been working out great, being we are church and I am a facilities person I am concerned about the safety for everyone who attends our services. Thank you

You have light when electric goes out
I like that I will have a light come on in every room in my house when electric goes out due to storms. You can even use as flashlight.

Perfect for the power outage prone
We frequently have power outages in our area, these are a great back up!

Good for home safety
Ordered these due too winter power outages. Had trouble finding flashlights when the power went out in the middle of the night. These lights worked fantastic. Let me get to other light sources without tripping and running into things. Very good lighting, and also great nightlights when we do have power. Replaced all of my other nightlights with these. Highly recommended if you're subject to power outages.

Change the Light Sensor Placement, Please
I couldn't help but notice other people complaining about the sporadic behavior of these lights, so I figured I'd chime in to say that, yeah, these lights aren't perfect, but I don't think the problems are as serious as they're made out to be. That said, Energizer really does need to change the placement of the light sensors on these units, as they're prone to being blocked or in shadow due to how they're placed. Even if you have issues with these things turning on and off, seemingly at random, I don't think they're terrible. They're bright enough to be useful, but they're not so bright that they're THAT bothersome. I can understand why these could get annoying if they're going on and off in your peripheral vision, but they really don't bother me, personally. Still, here's the problem: someone had the bright idea to put the light sensor on one of the thinner edges of the unit, and they made the mistake of choosing to place it on the short edge closest to where you need to plug each of these in. Let's look at the two different ways you can plug these in without blocking both outlets on a standard receptacle: 1. You can plug it into the top plug, with the bulk of the unit oriented upward. Problem is, the light sensor is now below the unit, meaning even decent ceiling-based lighting could result in a shadow at the bottom of the unit, keeping the light on even when your regular lights are on. 2. You can plug it into the bottom plug, with the bulk of the unit oriented downward. The light sensor is on top now, but it's still very likely to be in some sort of shadow, as whatever's plugged into the upper plug will now likely cast a shadow down onto the light sensor. Basically, these things would be hugely improved if there were multiple sensors on each of the different edges (assuming Energizer is just going for a cleaner look) or by simply putting a sensor on the front of the unit. As they are, yeah, I can see why people think they're defective, but I think the problem more so comes down to poor light sensor placement.

WOW…
I HAVE HAD MANY SIMILAR EMERGENCY LIGHTS OVER THE YEARS…BUT THESE ARE THE BEST EVER!???? THEY ARE IDIOT PROOF UNLIKE SOME OF THE OTHERS THAT I HAVE OWN! MY BOX OF 6 DID NOT INCLUDE ANY INSTRUCTIONS WHAT SO EVER BUT THEY ARE NOT NEED IT! THEY ARE PRESET FROM THE FACTORY AND UNLESS YOU WANT YOU DO NOT HAVE TO MAKE ANY CHANGES TO THE LIGHTS….REALLY!????VERY WELL DONE!????????????????????

Good nightlight
This is a good nightlight that helps to brighten up rooms in the dark.

It is the most ascetically pleasing, but only shines for 2-3 hours in black out.
I bought the following night light/emergency light combination lights for using around my home. I wanted a light that would act as a night light at home, and switch to emergency light when the power fails without appearing to change. These three items seem to come the closest to doing that, and I wanted to test them out to see which I liked the best. I am most impressed with the "GE 4-in-1 Power Failure LED Night Light, 2 Pack, Dusk-to-Dawn Sensor, 40 Lumens, Foldable Plug, for Emergency Flashlight, Tabletop, Storm, Hurricane, Tornado, Blizzard, White, 49578." I can barely tell when it is switching from night light to emergency light mode, because there is only a quick blink when I throw the wall switch. It is on a GCFI circuit. When the circuit popped, I did not notice until my tablet battery when totally dead, and I wondered why. The tablet and the light continued to shine for the next 5 days - 24 hours a day. It does not sense day/night when in backup mode. It is advertised to shine for up to 250 hours during a power failure. What the light lacks in aesthetics it makes up for in function, and function is more important to me. It could be a little brighter, but I don't really expect much brightness from a night light in my bedroom or hall way. My second favorite was the "Energizer 4-in-1 LED Power Failure Night Light 2 Pack, Dusk-to-Dawn Sensor, Foldable Plug, Emergency Flashlight, Tabletop, Snow, Hurricane, Storm, Blackout, White, 46473, 2-Pack" It is the most ascetically pleasing, but weak on performance. The night light shines nicely in both nightlight and emergency light mode. However, I don't really care for the delay between the two. When switching from either mode to the other mode there is a 1 to 3-second delay, where it briefly turns off and switches over. Although, being in the dark for a few seconds is much more desirable than being in the dark and then suddenly being blinded by an emergency light when it turns on. It also only shines for 2-3 hours in a power failure. The "GE 3-in-1 LED Power Failure Night Light, 4 Pack, Dusk to Dawn Sensor, Fold-in Plug, UL-Listed, Emergency Flashlight, Hurricane, Storm, Tornado, White | Rechargeable, 45033" would be my third choice. It has the same quirks as the Energizer, and is not as ascetically pleasing as the energizer. It worked fine and I ended up giving two of them to my neighbor, who needed something for blackouts. I never tested how long it shines for and the company does not advertise it. As long as I have another one, I'll charge it and get back to you when I find out.

These work great !
We live in an area with frequent power outages. During the last one, I was determined to find a lighting solution. Ordered 6 of these. They are amazing, several different light levels, the dimmest is still to bright as a night light (In my opinion) however when the power goes out, they go on. Well built, I am getting more.

Nightlight, flashlight and emergency light all in one product!
I really love the multi purpose idea of this product. It's worth spending the money on these, as long as they all work. 2 of the 6 I received, do not have a working motion detection feature. But the flashlight and 2 choices of brightness for the nightlight work. You just have to click the button once for dim, twice for brighter and three times for the flashlight. I've only been using them for 2 weeks, so I don't know about the battery life. Either way, I love this product.
