The puzzle was missing one piece so it was not a 1000 pieces.

Bottom line - missing pieces!

I have learned to expect that buying a EuroGraphics 1000 piece puzzles gets you 997....or 998....of maybe even 999 pieces. It does NOT buy you 1000 pieces. Very tired of this - and seriously, BEGGING EuroGraphics to put some quality control in your manufacturing processes. You simply can't keep customers when you short them on every purchase.

Challenging - not great production

I don't know if this is because so many people are now doing jigsaws, but I was disappointed to find a number of pieces had not been completely cut through. There were three pieces, that should have been six; you could see where they'd been partially cut by the machine at the factory. But the actual graphic is very good quality, and the puzzle is surprisingly challenging - the floor and the bed in particular. We enjoyed completing this one!

Stress Inducer

Be advised, this will likely be one of the most difficult puzzles you will ever work. Once you complete the "easy" parts you are left with about 50% of the puzzle that consists of two colors that make up the floor and the foot of the bed. There are changes in the grain of the wood, the shading of the floor and some subtle brush strokes. What makes it so difficult is all the pieces are the same shape. Given a do over, we would not choose to do this puzzle, but we will not give up. we will finish it. Today, nine days after posting my original review, my wife and I finished the puzzle. There is certainly a sense of accomplishment, but I question if it was worth the effort. To complete the bed footboard and the floor, for my part, I just kept trying pieces, one after another, until I found one that fit. Matching colors was difficult for the most part. Tab shape and size was helpful. I upgraded my review to Three stars based on the satisfaction of completing a challenging puzzle. If you are accustomed to completing a puzzle in a day or two, this probably isn't the puzzle for you.

Some missing pieces. Pretty picture.

Missing 4 pieces, and several not cut through and unable to be separated. Pretty picture, and we have done other Eurographics puzzels without problems, so maybe I just got a lemon.

Not for beginners.... very difficult

Disappointing

The bottom half of this puzzle was impossible. I like challenging puzzles and have never given up on a puzzle until now. The pieces are all pretty much the same and fit very poorly. It's difficult to tell if the piece is in the right place at spots where there isn't clear detail on the puzzle. Very disappointing as I love this Van Gogh painting. Won't buy from this brand again.

Miss one piece

It is nice except 1 piece missing. We have a working area and open boxes, finished many puzzles here. This is the first time. Disappointed.

Not as easy as it looks.

Really makes you appreciate his technique and how subtle changes in colour produce perspective and texture. Good quality board and good mix of interestingly shaped pieces.
