Seems to work well so far.
I like this little light. I have bought at least 6 of them and I'm ordering 2 more. All the ones I used worked just fine. The battery life is great too. I have given several of them away to people and they are happy to have them. I don't see how you can go wrong for $5.

Good flashlight at fixed focus and real 80lm, just AAA batteries are nearly the same price to AA which makes the choice inefficient, personally like the ones with single AA but Amazon had extremely limited choice or the search engine is not to the task. The included batteries were exp. date 6/24 but 1.45v (if remembering well fresh zinc carbon bat. were supposed to be like 1.7v) and after 1.5h on got to 1.35v so with fresh alkaline batteries could last well above 5.5h. With 3x850mAh NiMH rechargeable batteries lasted 5h 30min and has some more light coming out. The light angle is very well chosen and the light is like daylight with good color rendering index (the colors does not look flushed out).

Update: I take back all those nice things I said about this flashlight.
This little guy is pretty close to perfect. There is only one shortcoming, which I will describe at the end of this review. But first, the pros: - Good amount of bright light without being so bright that is wastes battery energy. - It has a wrist strap attached to the bottom. This is helpful or two reasons: first, obviously, so you can put it around your wrist if you are concerned about dropping it; and second, it keeps the completely round flashlight from rolling off the end table and crashing to the floor. (For those flashlights I've bought in the past that were completely round and had no wrist strap, I would put a large rubber band around one end which would keep i t from rolling. But that was a hassle. The wrist strap is much better. Cons: The one shortcoming is that it is, well, a little too short (it's length is approximately 3 5/8 inches. It fits comfortably with the palm of the hand closed around it, but it is long enough for only the first four fingers to touch. "Come on! Get a life!" you might say. Isn't that a little too picky? All I can say is that I have another, similar flashlight that is approximately 4 1/4 inches in length, and all 5 fingers can feel it when I close my palm. It just feels more secure. One additional suggestion I would like to make for anyone in pursuit of the perfect small flashlight is that it have a bright colored stripe (red, orange, pink) all the way around it somewhere so it would be easier to see. UPDATE: I purchased two of these flashlights about 5 months ago. A few weeks after I wrote the above glowing review, the light on the one that I had started using was getting low, so I changed the batteries. It never worked again after the battery change (and, yes, the new batteries were fresh and good). A few weeks later, I took the second flashlight (which I had not used at all) out of its package, inserted the batteries that came with it, but it never worked. I even tried a different set of fresh batteries. Nothing.

Works perfectly as described.
I'm perfectly happy with this. It works exactly as described. Some reviews said that it came with a dead battery or that it didn't work. I had neither of those issues. I will definitely consider purchasing again, should I happen to need another one.

Bright, lightweight, easy carry strap, tough, great value!
Best little flashlight ever! I have these in every room of the house, one in my purse, and one in my car. I love the carry strap. It is long enough to put over my wrist or loop around a handle. The button is easy to push, but not one that will turn on if you brush it against something. They are a great value for the money, bright, and tough! Though I dont recommend dropping it, I have accidentally dropped one of mine several times and it has no damage at all!

Impressed with this little light. Is a bit expensive but I find it quite bright and batteries seem to hold up pretty well.
