Simple install, works great!
this was very easy to install. I put it in place, drilled 3/16" holes in my aluminum gunnel, and used 3/16" rivets to secure it. Even in rough water, the 12LB down-rigger weights that I use do not come out of the holders unless I lift them out!

Fit my needs.
Bought these to store my cannonball weights in my Lund fishing boat. They were easy to install were I wanted to put them, and my weights - 6# + 8# fit good.

Lightweight Option to Rest Downrigger Weights
Lightweight molded ABS solution to resting downrigger weights while mounted, but I wouldn't travel with it mounted high. Two pairs with a pair mounted on the floor is an idea worth considering. Seems sturdy enough for the small cannonball that goes with my Cannon Mini Troll.

Works Perfectly
These are easy to install (depending where on your boat you want them) and easy to use. They have 4 screw holes, one on each side, but with only 2 screws in they feel pretty stable. I screwed each side down just to be safe. I use 6lb downrigger weights with fins and it holds them perfectly. Having the slots for the fins really keeps it in place but it would hold a ball weight just fine. Having the fin slot on all sides helps to position your weight however you like. They are a little bigger than I thought they would be but this helps in case you are switching out your downrigger weight. This is one of the best deals I found for a downrigger weight holder and it comes in a black and white version.
