Success

It’s early September in the north and we have been having some temperatures in the 50’s as usual. These came out of the package and have been worn immediately by the husband. As opposed to being stuffed somewhere to find years later with a complaint to why they were completely unsuitable. He did remark that they are likely not to last long which I agree. To be honest this typical of product is a consumable anyway. Another order has been placed for a couple more since they are currently deeply discounted. I ordered his usual shoe size and he is wearing over socks comfortably. Although, I noted the current socks being worn with these are not the thick hiking type wool sock but a wool casual sock if that helps. Additionally, I ordered a pair for myself in the smallest size. I am not a fan of the style but a long time falke junkie. Their products generally are well made and if not abused (like using socks as slippers) last a long time.

Elastic too tight

These would be great except that the elastic proved to be too tight. It tightly compressed my legs and I found I could not wear them.

Nope, returned.

I wear an 11 in all shoes and their size 11-12 is clearly too large. They feel like they are slipping off my feet with every step, whether I wear them alone or over socks.

Very comfortable slipper socks!

These are the warmest slipper socks I have ever had. I now have two pairs. I have poor circulation in my feet. These are very thick wool socks with a nonslip sole. Putting these on keeps me from being cold in my cabin during the winter. They are true to size. A little snug on the ankles. Never slip off. The sole makes them safe to wear on smooth surfaces. No slipping or sliding. Perfect for sleeping in and very soft. I no longer get foot cramps in the night. Only negative is the cost...but worth the investment. They do pill a lot, which I believe is normal for anything that has a high percentage of wool. I haven't washed them yet. Kind of afraid of them shrinking too much for my sensitive feet.

Very good quality

Just the right amount of warmth, soft wool and sole grippers make this a winner, replacing a worn-out pair of Acorn slipper-socks that were about as warm, but these were less expensive.

Lots of tight and uncomfortable elastic

From the description on the website:”Fuzzy fold down cuff for a comfy fit around the ankle”- no mention of any elastic. From the description that is included with the socks: “Elastic zone in ankle area”. If this description were included on the website, I wouldn’t have bought the socks. But since the socks already arrived, I tried them on. The elastic was so tight that my ankle and part of the foot were compressed unbearably (the elastic went beyond the ankle). The whole sock felt tight, even though the toes had more space lengthwise. There was nothing comfy about the socks. They were very tight and uncomfortable.

Second pair bought

Went through the first pair wearing them for years and decided to buy a new one because they are comfortable

Comfortable

They are as described. I'm a UK size 8.5 and got the 43-44 size and they fit well. I suffer from cold feet, always wear 2 pairs of socks, I started with these and they are comfortable and light, good for walking around the house but I cant say they have improved the warmth of my feet. They are only as think as normal sock. Fine product, well made, will use of course, but won't be buying again as feet are no better warmth than before.

As good as the description.

Well I was very apprehensive about these BUT I needn't have been because,they are great,they're both comfy and warm.I ordered both the 7-8 and the 8.5-9.5,I take a size 8 in trainers but the smaller size was way too small,the larger size was spot on.I wanted Black but they were £36 the Grey was £19,it was a no brainer-I went for the Grey
