A simple and elegant pendant with a cloth shade

This is a very nice pendant and nicer than I thought it would be for the price. It looks perfect above my kitchen sink and nicely complements my $800 Habbardton Forge light above my kitchen island. My kitchen designer found this great light here on Amazon at a wonderful price for less than $40. The only negative is that the light only comes with two 6 inch stems and a very long chain. You can use either one, but I don't see how anyone today would use a chain with a pendant light. When my designer found this light I looked for a stem extension kit (Amazon had the light but not the stem extension kit). The kit sells on other websites for about the same amount as the light so I simply bought another light on Amazon to get the 24 inches of stem I required. I figured since it was about the same price it made sense as I can replace the cloth shade years from now if it ever becomes dingy, food stained, faded, etc., I was unable to find a similar styled pendant that was as inexpensive and fit in as nicely, even when I purchased two. However, they should really ditch the chain and provide additional extensions. I think chains were last in style in the 1970s! In any event, this is a wonderful pendant that looks great above our kitchen sink.

Look perfect in our bathroom

I love these lights, but I did some customization of them. First of all, I bought two packs of Progress Lighting rods to make the rods 24 inches instead of 12 inches. I wanted the rods to go all the way to the ceiling with the pendants hanging 24 inches from the ceiling. The other customization I did was to replace the fabric lamp shades with frosted glass shades. I liked the fabric shades, but they were a little too big for our small bathroom. And finally, I bought a different ceiling canopy so that both of the pendant lights I bought could be wired to the same junction box in the ceiling. Yes, I spent extra money to make them fit our exact specifications and situation, and maybe I could have found something that more closely met our needs without spending extra, but I'm absolutely thrilled with how these look.

Great style, but might not be the best craftsmanship

While purchasing this pendant on Amazon (instead of other lighting sites) saved me quite a bit of money, one of the pendants arrived broken. The frame that attaches to the round shade was broken off and will need to be welded in order to be usable. So much for saving money! However, I do really like the style of this pendant. Also, as mentioned in other reviews, the rod provided with this pendant is very short. Depending on where you are hanging this pendant, you will most likely need an additional rod (which as far as I could see, could not be purchased separately). So you may want to consider buying an extra pendant to use just the rod.

Great light for over the sink.

I really love the pendant light it is hanging over my sink.. it is a creamy tan and my bulb is a warm 45watt led. Bulb Now I would have returned it if it was hanging over my island ...because the seam area is not so pretty. So your packers should be more observant of this extra material coming past the area that it should not . STOP AT THE SEAM NO EXTRA RAGGED MATERIAL.......

Buyer BEWARE!

I ordered and sent back because the description fails to describe... (2) 6 in. stems included; 72 in. chain included (chain can be shortened prior to installation.) This item is intended to be hung from a chain... unless (for whatever reason) you want a short, 12in stem from your ceiling. Other than that... it nice looking. Just keep the 70's style chainlinks away from my house.

PIcture is not what product actually is!

So the picture here shows a pole that the shade hangs from, I loved the look of this so I bought 2 of them. I just opened them and it is an ugly chain! I should have looked closer at the description and I would have noticed that they describe what isn't in the picture as what the product actually is. Very disappointed
