genuine part replacement
I needed to replace the badly worn glides on my GE dryer. These came in packaging that was convincing enough to be genuine factory parts. Also, the color of these glides matched the ones that were worn while the after market glide's clear color gave me pause. I was reluctant to use available less expensive after market glides considering the time involved in disassembling the dryer to get to the glides.

Ge part, easy to replace, my dryer was making a thumping sound because the slides were worn down allowing the drum to rub parts it was not meant to rub. dryer is a little quieter now.

Ad doesn't match product...
Like others have stated, you will not receive the original gray/green pads. This is not the same material as the white ones, but it's also not the same as the original equipment. These were white and I won't know for awhile if they are durable as I bought them as an extra set for some I just replaced. These were advertised as original equipment and they are priced ridiculously anyway. If they're as good as original or not, the sellers should advertise the product they are actually delivering.

Fixed the squeak
Dryer was becoming overly noisy with squeaks when running. Did a little research and decided I would try to swap out the drum slide. Took about 5 minutes and has completed several loads so far without any noise.

Yes, this will fix your GE dryer that chews clothes and eats cords
It'd be nice if the GE manual would warn you that this part fails, but I can tell you it will, and when it does, it causes clothes to get caught temporarily at the top of the dryer where the drum meets the door area, ripping holes in them, twisting cords. That's your first warning sign the design and part have failed. Find a video on YouTube that explains how to take the front off (it's easy) and examine the thicker/green/top and thinner/white/bottom variations of this part to see which has worn through. If you don't want to go that far, you may be able to see fragment of the part, worn and bent out where the drum meets the door, by sticking your head in the dryer and looking up. This is the thicker/green/top pair of parts that's probably the pair that failed. You may want to replace the thinner/white/bottom pair at the same time, and clean out the duct near the door while you have the front off.

Genuine OEM Parts!
I noticed many of the third party replacement kits only had a dual nylon set for the top bearing sliders whereas the original is a Teflon composite, I opted for the real ones, and they came and are OEM products and will likely give my dryer another 10 years of life. Would recommend and don't forget you need 2 of these!

18 year old dryer gets a second chance at life!
Must needed on my 18 year old dryer. Good for another 18 years! Fits great. These glides should probably get changed every 10 years or so to prevent further damage.
