Too thick
The spatula is pretty sturdy, but the edge is too thick. It makes it unwieldy to flip eggs or other more delicate things.

A weighted and balanced feel with great flexibility
I never thought I'd be so excited about a spatula, but this is certainly one to have in your arsenal! I don't know how best to describe it, but it just feels like it was made for you! It has a very nice weight and is FAR from flimsy, but very flexible. I use this with my non-stick cook wear and it absolutely WINS when it comes to omlettes.

Only spatula turner I need
As soon as I tried this I have not touched my others. I have not given it the fish turner test yet. It gets under the food easily and cleans up easily. The size is appropriate for my very small pan and my morning egg as well as other cooking in a variety of pans, There are no nooks and crannies to trap food which helps with clean up.

The best
I read a recommendation for this on line and it was right on. Much better than anything I've used before. It is attractive, sturdy, and comfortable to use. A necessity if you use nonstick cookware. My only suggestion for improvement would be to shorten the handle slightly as it seems unnecessarily long.

Too thick; eggs don't slide well over the edge bevel. Going back to nylon.
Size comparison photo shows how much smaller the GIR ultimate flip is compared to two OXO nylon spatulas on either side. This replaced a Caphalon nylon non-slotted turner that worked great but does not seem to be available anymore. I mostly use for turning fried eggs. This GIR Ultimate flip seems to me inferior in every way. The thickness (pictured) makes it harder to slide under eggs. It's not as stiff, especially towards the edges, which I think contributes to food sliding off while trying to turn. It has less area, which means that eggs don't have support on the edges when flipping. The rectangular shape doesn't support round eggs as well as a more rounded turner. The silicone seems more slippery than nylon, again making it harder to turn eggs without them falling off. I used this approximately 20 times before writing this review. As far as I can tell, many of these issues are common to all silicone spatulas. So I'm going back to nylon. BTW dealing with the limitations of this spatula, I learned a trick for flipping eggs: get as much of the yolk over the spatula as possible since that is where the mass is. If the yolk is on the edge then it will likely slide off.

It melts
I just this yesterday to stir fry vegetables & it started melting. Very disappointed.

Exactly what I needed
I needed quality silicone utensils for my good pans. These are perfect! ????

Thin but sturdy
This spatula was our answer to flipping pancakes in our delicate ceramic pans. We have other silicone spatulas which work great for general cooking in our pans… but until this spatula we couldn’t find one that easily slid under foods such as pancakes. Highly recommend if you have pans that can’t hold up to thin metal Spatulas
