High Clearance for your Sink

This was a pretty easy install overall. It took the hubs about 30-45 minutes to get it installed, part of this was because the instructions on which washers to use didn't seem that clear and he put it together wrong 2X. Once he got the washers in the right order it was super fast. Had he put it together right the first time it would have only taken 15 minutes. The base show in the pictures is actually the one from our prior faucet. This unit doesn't come with a bottom plate so if you need that for your type of sink you'll have to get it separately. I like the look of the faucet and it is nice that it is so high there is a ton of clearance. Although that can be a bother sometimes as it is so high that the water can get splashy when washing dishes. The chrome is very modern and looks great when clean. I am a horrible cleaner, busy working and living, so that only happens a few times a week that it is free from water spots. The head of the faucet pulls out so you can use it as a sprayer. This is actually my favorite function of the faucet. The water pressure on this unit is a little light, I think it has to be since the head is so high but I'd like it to be a little stronger. It take a long time to fill up my sink. There are two different water flows. One is just a steady stream like any faucet and the other is a spray, I have to use the spray function if I want to get any bubbles going for dishes. I don't really like the handle. It is easy to turn on by pulling it to the right. Hot water is up like the position shown in the picture but cold water the handle comes out at you and then is long enough that it is over the sink. Overall This has a modern look to it and great clearance for your sink, but I'd love something with a little more water pressure to it that didn't show water spots so much. *To be fair we have really hard water and this is a problem with all our faucets except brushed nickel

Gorgeous faucet, but it's for a very deep sink only

This German engineered kitchen faucet may be the last one you buy, provided you have the correct sink setup. The starlight chrome doesn't collect finger prints, but it shows dirt and smudges - easy to clean up every day. The faucet installed with only one issue and that was because I didn't clearly read the directions. There is a washer that goes on the underside of the sink and it fits perfectly inside the large nut that holds faucet against the counter, but it makes it so it won't tighten. while this is clearly displayed on the instructions, I somehow got this mixed up with a larger plastic washer and struggled for 20 minutes to get it installed. Once I figured it out, this was probably the easiest faucet to install. The big issue is that this faucet needs to be used with a very deep sink. I have a split sink and every time the water passes over the middle, it sprays water every where. The water comes out super quiet but again, if you have a sink that isn't very deep, the water will hit anything in the sink and splash. This is the finest looking faucet I have ever seen. I just wish it worked for my sink, but that's on me, not the faucet itself.

Beauty with a Splash

Architecturally, this a beautiful addition to any kitchen and the Grohe brand has a rep for being durable. So, why just 4 stars? Here’s a pros/cons list to break it down: Pros: - Beautiful, compact style fits anywhere - Silky valve movement Cons: - Laminar (non-aerated) flow causes water to splash everywhere. Contacted Grohe and they sent me a replacement aerator that solved that problem by about 95%. They know about the problem with this and at least one other similar faucet. This part should be included in the box with this faucet. - Their “flat-pack” style installation instructions leave much to be desired. I ended up using the under sink clamp from my old faucet because I could not get their clamp to work. It turns out a simple swap of a washer would have made it simple. With all of the above considered, I would still recommend this faucet. It’s a beauty!

Sleek, modern, and unique.

GROHE 33893002 Ladylux L2 Single-Handle Kitchen Faucet Grohe is not a brand I was very familiar with before trying out a couple of their faucets recently. Luckily my roommate is a project manager and knows this brand well. He urged me to give them a shot as he sees the brand often when doing renovations. I am very glad I took that advice because this is a fantastic faucet. The look is very modern and very unique from most faucets I have seen. You can tell this is a quality faucet right away. Heavy solid metal pieces. They certainly didn't cut corners with this product. The installation is not much different from any other faucet unless you haven't installed one with an extendable neck before. That can be a little tricky the first time you do install one like that though I didn't find it to be too difficult. The shape of this faucet is what I love. The sharp 90-degree angle really stands out and looks different. I will say that the faucet head is slim so I don't think this design works in every kitchen but luckily they have other designs if you are looking to stick with this brand. Based on their craftsmanship that I have seen I would highly recommend the Grohe product line. I do think that because the faucet head is thin you get some additional water pressure. For me, that is a plus though I can see situations with a more shallow sink being a little difficult because you may get some splashback. The finish is beautiful too. I like this starlight chrome as fingerprints do not show as easily as standard chrome or stainless steal from what I can tell thus far. Just a fantastic faucet all around. One of my favorites I have used thus far. I know they run a tad bit on the pricey side but you are really getting your money worth with this brand. I think its better to pay up for a beautiful high-quality faucet that is built to last rather than something that looks nice but doesn't hold up over time. This is easily a 5-star product. I would just say that the look may not work for every kitchen. If you are going for more of modern sleek design to your kitchen than this model is great. If not I would stick with the Grohe brand and look at some of their other models because the quality is impressive.
