SOLID

Used these to fill binding holes in my skis. Made of aluminum so they are solid, stronger than the ski, and don't rust. Waaaayyy better than the weak rubber or plastic plugs most places use. Did even drill/tap into them if the new holes overlap. So very solid! They might even strengthen the ski.

Not enough strength

Giving it a 2 because I’m being nice. Ok the aluminum used or heat treatment step was missed. Definitely not artificial aged or precipitation hardened. Simple fastener situation aluminum to aluminum with definitely required sized pre drilled holes and busted three whole turns in! Brittle fracture? Yes! Ended up using aluminum rivets instead. Going to use this as an example in my metallurgy classes.
