Don't hesitate, get it!

This is heavier than I'd anticipated, and lined as well! I needed something simple and did not want to spend the $$$ on a Roman shade. This fits the bill and thensome. I have it on a tension rod and it looks great.

Heavier than expected

This is made of really thick fabric which makes it really heavy. It looks really good though once you get it up. It was a lot longer than I thought it would be. I figured that I would be able to adjust it easily so it didn't matter. I didn't realize that it was going to be so thick and not easy to tie up. I took the fabric and did an accordion and then put the tie around it. The strings are really long so they kind of hang longer than I would want to. But now that I've got it up it does look really good. That's why I'm giving it four out of five stars. I would recommend this but I would suggest making sure that it's a good fit for your window.

Pretty pattern, attractive shade

I chose this HPD Half Price Drapes tie window treatment because I needed a shade for a single window, and this one was very appealing. I really like the look of this tie up shade, it's simple and unfussy. The color is pretty and the pattern is an interesting geometric weave of white lines on light green background. I flipped the longer fabric tie over the curtain rod and then chose the height at which to tie the two strips of fabric together. The drapes cover 3/4 of the window (it is a long window). I think the window treatment looks nice and goes well with the colors and decor of the room. I washed the shade on cool and dried on low prior to installation.

Love the pattern and color

I ordered three of these. Each was a different color and pattern. This was one of them, one was solid yellow, and the third had triangle patterns and was supposed to be yellow. I needed two that would match. The one with triangles was more of an olive color with maybe a slight gold tone. It looked yellow in the picture, but it didn't match either of the others. This one, which is my favorite, is a little lighter yellow than the solid, but the two, the solid and this one, are close enough to be in the same room. The material is a soft cotton and it's heavy. The tension rods I bought were not as sturdy as I had hoped, but they're holding the panels. The ties are okay, but I don't love them. Since the curtains are so long and heavy, when you bunch them up to tie them, it makes them protrude outward while the top is still straight and thin. These will look best if they can be hung in the center of the window frame so they have room to hang freely. That will lessen the awkward look of the bottom sticking out. I have mini blinds in my window, so the curtains don't have room to hang freely. I'm sure they'll look better with an exterior curtain rod. They are fairly thick and not sheer by any means, but they are not blackout curtains. I think I would prefer something that just hangs straight, but it's just a matter of preference. The curtain, itself, is nice quality.

room darkening is effective

In general, it seems like a good product, just not ideal for our purposes. Unfortunately, we intended to use this for a door window and it just weighs too much. The fabric is relatively heavy and it's fully lined which is I like. It's very effective for a room darkening effect. The pattern crisp with bold color. The ties are completely loose, not secured partway down or threaded through loops as I expected. Thus, it can be tied to any length desired.

Fabric is lined and of heavy weight & the design pleasant. It fits my kitchen perfectly

I was pleasantly surprised and the quality is very nice. The curtain is lined and the fabric is heavier than I thought. Easy to hang on existing road and perfect fit for my kitchen window. I live in a 55+ community in a individual home but I only have 1 window in my kitchen :-) this curtain fit right into my decor with it's subtle design and color. Highly recommend

I cannot believe these would be referred to as 'Half-Priced Drapes'

I honestly didn't expect much from a curtain with the title of 'Half Priced Drapes' so boy was I surprised when I opened the package! The quality of the fabric was very impressive. They are heavy like 'drapes' should be, and the color is even prettier than pictured. The nice big rod pocket at the top will accommodate my rods with balls on the end so I wont need to remove the balls to install the drapes. As someone who normally sews my own curtains and such, I am pleased with the stitching quality. No missed areas of stitching, no open seams, and no misaligned layers between the drape front and the linen lining on the back when they were sewn together. The seems are nicely pressed and there were no funny odors on the fabric as I have found with some other suppliers. I am really happy with this item. So happy in fact that I bought a matching topper for the large view window in the same room. Just waiting on my matching piece and new rods to hang these lovely drapes. Way to go HPD's! I give these drapes 5 thumps up!

Beautiful and high quality

This brand of curtains/ valances is very nice quality. The fabric has a nice weight to it and hangs well. It is lined, and all the stitching is neat, even and well-done. The colors are true to the picture, and the items look very nice in my kitchen. This is definitely a step (or two) above the quality of what you would get say at Walmart or Target. I would definitely say it is worth the price.
