Sturdy, thick, lined …HPD Drapes

These drapes are thick, heavy and lined. Hanging them is easy , because they are heavy and hang themselves out in a day. I had no problem with the tie ups , but was surprised that you did actually have to tie them ,instead of the ties being more for show and there is a crunch up tie somewhere like in other tie up drapes Also, the color is printed on the fabric, the backside is lining . The drape is thick but not light blocking . You have to fiddle around and try different heights and tie styles and once you got that right you adjust the folds in between the ties , once again easy to do because of the way these drapes are cut. Overall I am very happy with them ,they are crafted well . I just wish you could wash them yourself. I been vacuuming them ( inside the folds ) with my curtain attachment .

Heavyweight but not light-blocking

This is a nice curtain panel. Unfortunately, the color wasn't right. It looks yellow in the picture, but in person, it looks sort of olive green or maybe with a bit of a gold tint. I don't mean olive like the skin tone but olive like a green olive. Regardless, it's still very pretty and a nice heavy weight. I was concerned about putting it on a spring rod, especially because the ones I ordered turned out to be kind of cheaply made, but they still held up well. So, this is a heavy panel, but it was also light enough to be held in place by a cheaply made spring rod. The ties take a little trial and error to get them right, and even then, I'm not entirely sure I like them. They are bulky at the bottom, and the top of the panel is flat. It just looks kind of awkward. It's okay. I mean, it's probably better if you have plenty of space to work with and can center the rod in the windowsill so that the bulky part hangs straight down rather than protruding outward because the rod is too close to the window.

Nice material, awkward tie up

This curtain is one single panel of very soft and sturdy canvas type material. The print is vibrant and the pattern lines are nice and clear. Definitely feels like a nice high quality piece of cloth. There is a pocket for hanging and then two printed straps on each end about 8 inches in. The straps are stitched onto only one side of the curtain and you have to pull one from each end over the top of the curtain to the front. I really dislike the tie up mechanics. I initially thought from the listing that the ties were in a pocket down the length of the curtain and you kind of scrunch the fabric up and tie the longer length created at the bottom. This is not the case. You have to kind of figure out how long you want the curtain and tie up the straps below the curtain at that point and then have a bunched curtain or fan fold the whole bottom part. It’s awkward and I do not like the finished look very much. Overall these curtain are very nice material. I wish the length could be adjusted in a more aesthetically pleasing way

Just what I wanted

Shipping was very quick. The gold is a lot more muted but I like that because it flows with the curtains in the living room better. The material is very thick and sturdy and it hangs down about 2 ft below the window sill but it doesn't get in the way of anything. I haven't figured out how to use the ties yet but I keep it down most of the time anyway.
