Took a gamble after reading the few reviews in Amazon...Glad I did!
I hope this information helps prospective buyers: Overview- I installed this fan 6/13/2019 in a master bedroom about 17'x17'. I was looking for a whisper quiet fan with ability to move a lot of air for those hot/dry California Summers. I also needed a fan with lights bright enough to provide the only source of light for a master bedroom. Because of this, I only looked for fans with multiple light sockets, rather than ones with covered dome lights. The fan has worked flawlessly. It is extremely quiet. I can’t hear it at all at night, even though it sits above me while I am on my bed. In the highest speed setting (I believe it is a 6 speed), it moves an impressive amount of air. I do not foresee ever needing the 5th or 6th speed setting while I sleep (It’s just too much wind). The lights do a great job of making the large room very bright. In summary, I am a big fan of this fan (pun intended). Installation- Same as every other ceiling fan. I had no issues. There are plenty of videos online on how to install ceiling fans. The fan is a little heavier than other fans I installed, but not insanely heavy. Once everything was installed, and power added, the fan came to live with no issues. The remote control receiver module at the fan is located inside its housing. There is no access to it unless you take the housing apart. So if you are hoping to change the frequency setting on the receiver or remote control, this will not be an option. The receiver and control are paired at the factory. The fan has no pull chains to speak of. Please know this fan is strictly controlled via remote control!!! Operation- Like other reviewers have noted, the fan assembly (not the remote) does beep every time you send a command to it via the remote control. While this can be annoying and outright unforgivable if someone else is sleeping in the room, I find this function useful and necessary, since the fan lets me know by its beep that it has indeed received a command. Every time you turn on the fan function, it takes a few seconds for the fan blades to actually start spinning. Once it does begin, it goes through a balancing evolution of sorts where the fan blades spin slowly back and forth in both directions before actually beginning the full spinning momentum. The initial beep lets you know that the fan has indeed received your command to start spinning. Initially I would turn on the fan (it would indeed beep), and when nothing happened within a second or so I would press the button again, in essence turning the fan back off. Now, I have learned to trust the beep when I turn the fan on. Once I hear the beep, I walk away knowing that the fan blades will commence spinning in a matter of seconds. If you do not have the ability to wait 4 seconds or so after pressing the button for the fan to actually begin spinning, this is not the fan for you! (I have little patience myself, but the delay does not bother me). Remote- The remote included with the fan works incredibly well. Connectivity between the fan and control is perfect. Every single time I press a button on the remote control, the fan beeps and lets me know it has received the command. No need to hit a button more than once for the fan to get the command. I attached the remote control on wall about 8 feet away with zero issues on connectivity. Summary- I purchased this fan for about $300. While this is a little steep for a fan, considering I can buy a brand new one at the local home improvement store for $50, I believe it is well worth the price. I would purchase it again without hesitation. I will be keeping an eye on it in the near future and if it ever goes on sale I will purchase 2 more to replace older fans in my house! The fan does looks custom and expensive. My wife loves the look of it, and I appreciate the high quality of its construction.

WARNING: Lights don't dim and remotes came with no batteries & missing screws x 2 (or more?)
Just bought two of these fans for $300 each. So my experience isn't just one fluke, it's a pattern. The fans seem to be smooth and quiet but that's all meaningless when... 1) Remotes came with NO BATTERIES. They are the round disc type #CR2032. 2) Both remotes had no battery door screws. 3) The lights don't dim as advertised - on/off only. $300 fans and I can't dim the lights to create the "ambiance" they advertise. Ironically the lights are bright for ceiling fans....but if you can't dim them.... 4) Very weird glass light shade holder mechanism. Requires special tool to install and uninstall. Beware. 5) As others mentioned, loud, obnoxious BEEPS when any command is sent from remotes (I went out and bought my own batteries assuming there wasn't enough profit in the $300 prices for Hunter to plop in a $3 battery). 6) This machine has the weirdest electronics I've ever seen. As others mention, when you turn the fan on, at first it just sits there- you don't know if it really heard you or not (despite the irritating beep); then it starts to lightly jerk one direction then the other; stops intermittently; then finally starts to turn; takes almost a minute or more to actually fulfill its rather simplistic purpose - blow air. And every single time you start/stop the fan it goes through that dance routine. I just don't know how people ever lived with those old fashioned fans that just started fanning when you turned them on. And even the lights delay about a second before turning on. Oops! Did I not hit the button hard enough? Weird. Maybe this was a high-school electronics class project? 7) Have now been on hold with Hunter customer service for 37:42 seconds and counting. I swear if I find the office is closed and they didn't bother to say that on the recording..... But the Mozart makes it worth it.....not. Hecho de China! So, this is what to expect from Chinese c_r_a_p and American companies that rely on China to make stuff CHEAP to dupe American customers. Done with it. 猎人

Ornate Nostalgia & Fully Functional
The media could not be loaded. I liked the aesthetics so much that I purchased two of these fans. The install was simple. Its operation is completely silent. Its been a couple of months since the install and I have no regrets. I upgraded the generic globes. The remote and fan set up is unique because there is often a delay of a few seconds and the motor may recalibrate by spinning backwards at times momentarily. Those are however minor and trivial issues. I miss the decorative pull down chains that never required a battery unlike the remotes but the units are so attractive that the removal of the chains is soon forgotten. I spent weeks trying g to find a model to replace the pre-existing fan units that came with the house and I could not be happier with this selection. Form meets Function! ☆☆☆☆☆

Looks great.. Tiny remote,
4.5 stars Bought 36" downrod as well. Fan come with lots of extra wire! 6ft or so? Bought two of these and look great, standard lights a19 so that is nice too. You can put any led bulb in. I prefer 2700k for warmer look Tiny remote kind of sucks Had trouble with one fan remembering light on so when you switch power on it comes on. Not sure what happened but now it works. Absolutely require more weights, using the test clip as a 2nd weight for now. 2 fans, same issue. 1 weight not enough to make it really smooth. So remote kinda sucks and need extra weight. Other than that it's 5 star.
