Pretty Good with a Few Flaws
I did my first hike yesterday with this bladder in my Camelbak Hawg backpack. I have always only used Camelbak bladders in the past so that's what I have to compare to. Here's my initial opinion: Pros: Seems to be be spillproof. I filled it full and left it on the counter in several positions to test it. No water leaked from the top nor from the tube attachment at the bottom. The drinking tube is covered with a tough plastic material that will protect it, & maybe add some insulation. Once you figure out exactly where to bite, the water flow rate is pretty good. The bite valve has a snap-on dust cover. It seems pretty secure but several times, it came a little loose. Could end up being a problem if the cover keeps gettting looser with use. Easy to clean with the top opening and ability to turn it inside-out. Cons: The drinking tube is 1-2 inches too short. You have to bend your head down to drink since the tube is not long enough to bring all the way to your mouth (with it through the retaining loops on the shoulder strap). The top won't stay open while filling and requires keeping one hand squeezing the opening while pouring with the other hand (awkward). However, this tightness probably helps keep it spillproof. No on/off valve on the drinking tube. I like the security of knowing the water can't go past the valve, esp. when I have it full but not in the backpack (like in the fridge overnight). Why couldn't they have added this simple item like Camelbak does? I'm not convinced yet that this HydraPak bladder is better than my Camelbak military bladder. If they could lengthen the drinking tube & add the on/off valve, it probably would be. *2-Year Update: I just found out that this bladder actually has an on/off valve. They sure made it counterintuitive and hard to use, though. A fellow hiker showed me how-You have to forcefully turn the tiny ledge on the end of the black piece, just before where you put your lips. I had tried this previously but it didn't seem to turn off at all and I didn't want to break it. Now I know how. The bladder is still holding up very well, no leaks whatsoever, even at the the disconnect to the tube. My only remaining complaint is that the drinking tube is too short. Highly Recommend!

Bought in late august. Leaking out a seam in the bottom by late November.
The media could not be loaded. didn’t hold up. I’m not doing anything crazy. I live in a flat area, mostly roads and some trails on weekends. Maybe 100 miles a month slow pace. Most other hydration bladders made it almost a year

Best hydropack bladders
These are the best hydropack bladders you can get. Fully reversible makes it so much easier to clean and dry. Super durable as well, my old one has taken a few hard hits and never blew open. Their warranty is top notch as well, they will replace a leaking bladder no questions asked.

Durability issues
During an elk hunting trip in CO, I used the bladder in my Badlands 2200 pack. I'm a Camelbak guy and got this to put in my pack since Badlands was sold out of their bladders. I purchased a 2 liter hoping it would fit in my pack but it didn't. The length was too long. Instead I hung it utilizing the plastic clips in my pack and it held fine, didn't shift at all. The bladder was easy to fill, although removing and closing it sometimes can be a pain sometimes, I'm not a fan of the slider, and prefer a screw on cap. My water stayed cool, although I was hunting in 40 degree weather. No damage to the bladder, even in a pack filled with day pack hunting supplies. Onto the bad, about week into hunt, the bite valve would stick and wouldn't turn and eventually started leaking, later that day, the bite valve came off. Luckily, it was on my way back to camp and there wasn't much water left so I just drank it rather than waste it since I couldn't stop it from pouring out. Needless to say, I ended up just storing a couple bottles of Smart water in my pack (smart water bottles don't puncture). It was just an inconvenience to have to stop and take off my pack to remove the bottle instead of conveniently just sipping water as I hiked. Hopefully with the lifetime warranty ill be able to get it replaced. If not, ill go back to CamelBak bladders or Smartwater bottles. When you're backcountry hiking, water is essential, storing water is a must. Not having a reliable water storage is like having poor rain gear when the weather gets bad.

Cold Water Lover
I bought this because I am obsessed with cold water. I do like the slide top bag as it is easy to fill. Was going to just replace the hose to get rid of the initial hot water when drinking. This was on sale and replaced my old bag. This bladder is not perfect as it still heats up over time and condensation is still apparent. With that said it protects my cold water and keeps it that way longer with an insulated hose(no small drink of hot water when you start to drink). Has made my hot summer trails much more enjoyable.

Buy it right the first time
This is an extremely durable bladder which fits right in the bladder pouch of my tactical assault pack, so that I can be well hydrated as I tactically assault the pavement with my road bike. There is no plastic flavor added to your beverage, even from the first use. Looking at the reviews for cheaper bladders, I say spend more on this. You'll buy it right the first time, and you won't need to waste money replacing the cheapo version when it falls apart. This a great product and worth the extra $$$.

Drinking Hose is too short
I found the hose to be too short. Tried with multiple backpacks and was always too short.

So good
I purchased these to replace my 10 old platypus. These are brilliant. So easy to fill and put back together but I do recommend buying a tube of silicone lubricant as can be stiff to put top seal on and off

The best on the market for resilience, quality of manufacture and ease of maintenance
I researched water reservoir/bladders to death when trying to find a match for my AtlasPack Athlete photo backpack. The Hydrapak Force was by far the best product for the following reasons: - it’s reversible, which makes it easy to wash and dry compared to e.g. Camelbak and any others that use a screw cap. - it’s military grade and so really tough...there are videos of ppl driving over them with their cars. - you can purchase separately a hand pump (included on the Full-Force model) that allows you to squirt water which is useful when camping (to fill pots or to wash up) and to wash your face on hot sweaty days on the trail.
