Sturdy

Easy to install and heavy enough not to bend or wear out

I don't think anyone will use it -- we have a recessed door handle

It's thin and easy to miss being on the edge of the door. We installed a pocket door lock handle so we are using that to slide the door. I didn't think the handle would be used because the lock gets in the way. I thought this pull would add to it. But no one has pulled it yet. And it wasn't that easy to install. So, if you have a handle --consider if you need this.

It's beautiful and seems very well made

My contractor is going to put this in our new pocket door, along with the recessed knob on the face. When the door is fully open and in the pocket, you need some kind of end pull, and this one will do the job. It has a little spring that keeps the handle in place. The pull is easy to get to and lift; it wouldn't break your fingernails. It needs to be inletted, so this is not a job for the ham-handed. It would have been nice if it included some instructions on cutting the hole, but anyone experienced with mortising should be able to do it. Mark things off, drill and chisel carefully, test fit.

Do NOT use screws provided

Installation was pretty easy. Even with pilot hole, one of the screws broke. Not sure how to get 1/2 of the screw out of the door. Will have to talk to a friend who knows woodworking.

Good luck with the screws made of crappy metal (from China?)

One screw head broke off, and other stripped out with very little pressure, even after pre-drilling holes. I can’t speak the quality of the handle itself yet, as install was delayed by this, wasting and extra 1/2 hour getting the broken screw out of our door, and causing damage to our door. Handle itself “seems” like sturdy metal, but I have little faith at this point in the springs/mechanism. We’ll see. Would be nice if the company would send 2 new screws which can actually function as screws.

Pocket Door replacement edge pull worked better than the original & perfect color

The "pull" part (arm) on our 16 yr-old pocket door edge pull broke off. This part is much better made than the original and fit the pocket door exactly as the old one. This new piece is sturdier and the "pull" (or arm) that comes up also automatically goes back (flush with the edge of the door) so that that part doesn't snag on human flesh (arms) or clothing any more. Easy to install in the original holes. I believe I used the old screws since they were just a tad longer than the screws which came with the new piece. Perfect matching color as well! A win!
