The 4WR vise grips are made in Taiwan, that's great!
When I got these 4WR vise grips, it looked different. The first thing I noticed was the shiny finish, and then I noted a somewhat better fit of the assembled components. My other Irwin (China) made vise grips have a dull finish and are more loosely assembled. I looked on the back of the package, and It stated "Made In Taiwan" I was surprised to see that. These remind me more of the build quality I would see from my Petersen DeWitt tools. I wish they could be Made in USA, but at least the are NOT made in China. I can really see the difference in the brighter plating. I'm happy for that.

Well made Vice Grip tool saved the day.
The 4" Vice Grip saved the day. I had stripped the Phillips screw head while trying to get the upper screw out of the Larson storm door frame. I need to remove the door to repair the hinges. I saw a review online by a Mr. Lee and he said this tool would work for removing screws. The Vice Grip was able to SECURELY hold the screw head and I was able to get the Aluminum screw out. Easily worth the money. Thank you Mr. Lee and Vice Grip! The jaws in the head aligned perfectly.

wanted to isolate the mains water supply but the stop cock which is like 40 years old wouldnt budge as its turning screw had lost all its grip. spent 2 days trying different pliers and wrenches but none of them worked. eventually had to turned to amazon and started looking for a suitable tool ans stumbled upon this. Reviews looked very favorable and it was on sale too. Watched a couple of videos on youtube and everyone was raving about how good Visegrip is so I thought I should order it. It was delivered earlier than the estimated delivery date. Thanks Amazon. Immediately took it out of the packaging and in the very first attempt the stop cock started moving!!. The grip was just fantastic and the locking mechanism is quite satisfying which gives you the assurance that it wont slip when turning and twisting. I cant comment on how long it will last but lot of long term reviewers are quite positive about it so fingers crossed.

The ones you want!
Irwin vise grips are the best in my opinion, I have several sets. I wouldn’t buy any other brand of self locking grips. Don’t be tempted by cheaper alternatives, you will have much more success with these. Some of my older sets have taken a lot of abuse and although they are worn they are still perfectly useable. I have never had to replace any of them due to faults, excessive wear or breakage. Cannot recommend these enough!

These are pure quality built to last. Half the price i would pay in Ireland so i was very happy with the purchase. 5 stars for quality and price.

Tool you must have!
This is a perfect tool. If you are fighting a stubborn bolt of trying to extract the broken one this is your best friend. You can get some cheap replica from Tesco for £4 but trust me this is the quality and brand you need, even if it is a little more expensive.
