The Little Pressure Tank that Could

When I installed a new Pressure tank in my lakehouse, it turned out that it was "too far" from the Jet Pump that pulls water into the house, so the pump was jittery. It would come on, then go off (an on and off) as it saw back-pressure from the turns in the pipes. By inserting this little (like 6-inch high 4-inch wide) tank in the line only 4 inches away from the Jet Pump in the line heading to the big pressure tank, it absorbed the surge and the pump now runs cleanly and continuously for almost a minute as the big tank fills and the house pressure recovers from 30 to 50 as it should. Best screwed against the wall; but since the pipes are usually not right up to the wall, build up behind this little tank with wood until you can screw it on. If you don't, it may be too heavy on the plastic pipes in the long run.

Still on the fence

Setup as instructed set psi to 3 below pump cut off psi and sometime the pump cuts off rite away sometimes it won’t shut off. The accumulators nice to have pressure without the pump coming on. Possibly my issue is a faulty pump

Accumulator Tank

The accumulator tank arrived on time and in good condition. I'm using this accumulator tank as an expandition tank on my motor home cold water system. I have had a problem wth the cold water system hot water probe causing the pressure to exceed 70lbs. I added the accumulator tank to capture the excess pressure and it worked!

replacement bladder is not available

I use these capacitors on a boat in the Caribbean. I use both sizes, the small one and the 1 liter. They work fine until the bladder breaks. When it breaks, I have had to buy a complete new unit because I couldn't find an outlet for the internal bladder in the islands. When home, I contacted the company and was told that they won't sell me a new bladder; they are not available to those of us who bought the unit. So, the unit works well, until it breaks and then you are required to buy a new expensive capacitor, rather than an inexpensive bladder that can be easily replaced.
