How to fix broken voice box

Tigey is great, but like many others he stopped making noise even with a battery change. I came across a YouTube video of someone fixing their Daniel tiger plush so I figured my Tigey had the same issue and I wanted to share how to fix it. It turns out the wire that connects to the push button breaks over time. So that’s what needs to be fixed. The repair took less than 15 mins including time to take out and put away the tools. Search “Fixing a Daniel tiger plush toy that doesn’t talk with basic soldering” for the YouTube video and follow the directions. Here’s how to repair the broken sound box: Open the back where the battery compartment is. Carefully take out the button in the hand that you press to activate the toy. There is a small ~24 awg wire that probably broke off the button. Just solder the wire back onto the button. Put everything back in and you’re back in business.

So Adorable but SOOOOO Loud

Perfectly adorable but the volume is very loud especially since it is made for young children whose hands are so close to their ears. The battery pack also has no padding on the back of the toy so it's pretty hard for a stuffed animal toy. I placed a piece of foam wrap in front of the battery pack and behind the pack which helps a bit with these problems. Still a sweet toy that matches the cartoon version and with Daniel Tiger's voice just with a pressing of tigey's hand!

**Update: my daughter had this for a couple weeks and after several battery changes, it stopped working. Very disappointed. She loved this toy and the songs and sayings. Original:My 2 year old loved this. She sings and dances to it. Also speaks French!

Tigey is well loved!

My son is a fan of Daniel Tiger. He is really enamored with this Tigey plush. Tigey is firm but very soft. You cannot control the volume but you are able to hear him. The voice from Tigey is Daniel’s voice

There are way too many fake tigey’s on Amazon but this one is the real deal. Daniel’s voice sounds just like it does on tv. My son has had this for almost a year and the sound still sounds as good as it did the day we gifted it to him. If your kids like Daniel tiger, this is a must!
