Great uniform socks
We have purchased these several times over the last few years as uniform socks. They fit my 8 year old with size 4 shoes perfectly. My 5 year old with size 12 can get away with wearing them although they are a little bit long on her. But, that doesn't keep her from wearing them. They are very soft material that feels like a really thick pair of tights, but don't get runs and tears like a typical pair of tights do. I would say that are more like a soft material that leggings are made from. We can't wear the thin tights at our school and these comply with our dress code material policy. Also, the band at the top holds the socks up nicely, but doesn't squeeze the leg too much and make them uncomfortable.

Great socks, 1 pair slightly different shade
Purchased these to match my daughter's Catholic school uniform months ago. They still fit and look great. My only issue is two of the pairs seem to be from a different dye batch than the other pair. It's not noticeable if the original pairs are kept togehter, but when they get mixed up it's obvious. One looks almost navyish when worn with the hunter green one. I don't notice it when the 2 off-color ones are worn together however. It's not enough of an issue to knock more than 1 star off the review. In 4 months of almost constant wear they have held up great with no stretching or tears. Be warned that they are a thinner, nylon-type material. Not an issue, but just thought it should be mentioned. I plan on buying another set when she outgrows these!

classic knee socks
These socks are a classic design. The difference between them and the old Bonnie Doon socks from the 1980s is that these are nylon rather than a mercerized cotton blend. The socks are hot compared to cotton. They also can snag. But they wear well provided you don't hook the knit on something. The turn cuff holds them up securely, better than the old Bonnie Doon socks.

These are so soft and wash up amazing! We purchased these for my daughters Highland dance class. (She will be 4 in a few months) Would recommend!

Works great, but the elastic band at the top is a bit narrow so it cuts in to the calf a bit.
