Misleading

There were a lot of pictures showing a crate. That’s what I intended to purchase. Not a pad. Didn’t want. I have another one. This was a big waste of effort. The listing could have made it clearer that a crate was not included. I needed one in a day. That’s what I in fact searched for specifically but was given this as a solution.

Skeptical at first, but it really does work

I originally bought this for my dog crate but since I have yet to assemble it, I thought of another use. My dog loves to come with me everywhere, but when the temperature gets in the teens or below zero where I live, I stopped bringing him food shopping etc. It gets blistering cold in my car at those temperatures. So I did an experiment (after using it in my home with me & noticed it 'seemed' to work) when the weather got below 20 degrees and I brought him along food shipping. I was gone for 30 minutes. When I returned I checked the mat under my dog and it was very warm. My dog was also sleeping when I returned and was very cozy on the mat. I have no other blanket either. I only have him in a pet hammock in the back seat. He is a large dog and is furry but only has a single coat of fur. Since that experiment I know for a fact this mat does keep your pets warm AND now I can bring my dog with me once again. I hoped this review helped, if yes, please click HELPFUL button below. Soft, washes well

The outer fabric is very soft but not much padding. I've only washed it once and it held up very nice. I am undecided as to whether it actually helps self warm my puppy or not. I am testing it on top of my bed where she lays. When she gets cold she tries to lay on top of me or cuddle as close as she can, maybe doing that less. I'm not sold on the product yet.

Does not help my dog stay warm

They are soft, but thin. They do not keep my dog any warmer. She still shivers when it gets below 70. I was hoping this would help when we go camping. It does not. It is an additional barrier between her and the ground so I don't have a 60lb lap dog as often because she doesn't have anything else to lay on.

Soft, warm and worth every penny

I love this mats from K&H! I have different sizes all over the house for my cats who love yo the nap on them. Even after 6+ years, they are still in great condition. I purchased this XXL to put at the end of my queen size bed where my three cats like to sleep at night.I wash them in warm H2O, put in the dryer and they come out beautifully. My cats love the softness and warmth and so do I.

Easy to wash, waterproof cover great, especially if your dog is a toy-eating moron.

This pad is perfect for my idiot dog that ate her toy and then threw up all over the place in the middle of the night. Cover came off easily, is waterproof so none of the awfulness got into the foam part, and was easy to put back on after washing. Waterproof features are holding up after repeat stupidity performances by the dog, who is no longer allowed to have toys. This pad is a steal compared to the price of emergency surgery.

good quality

This does work, although for some reason my dog doesn't like it. He slept on it once because he had no choice & I noticed it did keep the heat in & the mat felt warm. The cover is super soft but my dog won't sleep on it. This is good quality & I think my dog is just picky.
