Works great and cat loves it

We purchased this to use on our step for our semi-feral cat that lives in our yard. We had some bitter cold nights this winter so was nice way to provide some warmth for him if he wanted it.

Fits Perfect in the Doghouse

Our dog is outside only (and he loves it), so he needs a doghouse with a heated pad and this has worked perfect for him for the last 2 winters. He doesn't chew, so I don't know about the chew proof of it, but it is easy to clean, easy to use and very durable.

Pretty good for the pig so far

I'm glad I went with this over a human mat for our baby pig. It has worked well enough so far, though she likes to pull the pad up to sleep under it (all but destroying the stitching which I need to repair). So far it can handle her hooves and I like that it is perpetually on so she can go to it whenever she needs it. A pad like this is a must in northern winters.

Gentle Warmth

Bought this for use in an insulated box for a stray cat. Works very well. The pad provides steady, gentle warmth when the cat is on it. Made well. Pad helped cat get through a period of -30 night wind chill over the Christmas holiday. Very satisfied.

Lifesaver! I should've bought this years ago!!

The media could not be loaded. I bought one of these for the outdoor cats I care for who have grown to love and trust me, but still want nothing to do with the indoors or being picked up. The pad arrived just in time for the cold snap. The cats absolutely loved it, one cat clung to it from the very moment I plugged it in to check that it was working. I had to dump him off to set it up in the shelter, and he was back on the instant it was down again. The box indicates you cannot use this heated pad with an extension cord, which meant it couldn't go in the greenhouse. So I build a platform on the patio using cinder blocks to raise the pad off the ground and keep it fully supported, left the shipping cardboard under the pad but on top of the cinder blocks, then surrounded that with upended cinderblocks to act as wall supports, and wrapped the outside with trash bags I split open flat. On top of the upended cinderblocks I placed a Maccourt Supertub, flipped over to act as a roof. It's as if they were made for each other. Then I layered more bags over the top , hanging off the edges to protect against driving rain and act as a drip edge, and weighted that all down with found bricks. As it began to snow, I noticed the wind was blowing snow into the entrances and the heat of the blanket was melting it. So I used cardboard and planters to block off the entrances and make a sort of S shape exit for the cats but to block the snow blowing in. Eventually the falling snow would mostly block 2 of their 3 exits, which helped retain their body heat, and the hide started to look almost like an igloo. Even at 16 degrees F, minus wind chill, it was warm and cozy in their hide. If you stuck your hand in and touched a spot of the heated matt, you hand was immediately warmed. Instead of huddling together in a mass together looking miserable, the cats were visibly happy and actually went out to play a number of times. I was worried the cats would wind up melting so much snow they'd electrocute themselves, even though the packaging specifically mentions the device is intended for a wet dog to be safe, I didn't know if I believed it or not. Thankfully, the promises were true, the pad really worked wonderfully! I liked this so well I bought another. -- TLDR; They're awesome just get it!

Warms my 13 year old pupperz in her doghouse!

Bought this for my 13-year-old beagle mix as she’s become completely spay incontinent and we needed something to heat her insulated bougie outdoor doghouse. She’s been a house-dog her entire life and so this was a lifesaver! Even with a lightweight plastic “tub” over it, filled with pine shavings, it’s still warms her so much, She won’t even come out to greet me on cold days! She’s gonna stay where it’s warm and cozy. I am a little worried about those 1” round circles weakening and collapsing as so many reviewers noted. I imagine the heating elements “rot” & weaken the plastic over time. Hoping that doesn’t happen to us. $93 was expensive for us right now.

My dog loves this

Even in the deepest Wisconsin winters, my dog chills in his outdoor house for hours solely because this heating product. I was worried because it wasn’t as warm as a human heating pad, so I had to trust that the heating unit is designed for dogs and their bodies. Well, there is no doubt this thing works. My dog would never sit on a human heating pad with a cover over top, because it is still too hot. Must get for those of us living in the northern hemisphere.

Shiba Inu Approved

I just got my second Lectro-Kennel because my dogs love it so much. They usually sleep on me for my body heat but now that these are under their dog beds, we all sleep better! They even stopped whining to come to my bed at night. I usually give in but now they don't even ask! They are completely content! If you've ever tried to make a Shiba happy, you know it's a tall ask. The hard plastic heating pad fits perfectly under their bed and blankets. They like to dig and nest, so the hard shelled heating pad is perfect, stays in one spot. It's a low 40w and only costs $3 a month if ran 24 hours a day. Totally worth it.

-40 au saguenay lac-st-jean

Je cherchais un tapis pour des chats errants car il a fait froid pendant presque 2 semaines au Saguenay Lac-St-jean. Je m'inquiétais car la plupart des tapis ou couvertures chauffantes peuvent prendre feu. Celui-ci est super sécuritaire en plus d'être imperméable. Il est utilisé dans une cabane de paille. Chaque matin, le tapis est chaud, preuve qu'il a été utilisé durant la nuit par les chats errants. Super satisfaite

Amazing May!!!

I bought this same mat eight years ago and it is still working!!! Manitoba winters are harsh with temps going down to minus 40 and below and it’s worked through all that. I decided to buy a new one this fall so that I could use the old one on one side of the cat house to allow the feral cat to warm her side or her face. The new one is on the floor of the cat house. Both are working great!!! This is a FANTASTIC MAT that I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! 10/ 10 stars!!!

Works fine. Seems to be always heating. Cheap material. I was expecting more like one I purchased years ago. That one was made of rubber. The mat is held down by a loop over each corner. To take it off to clean, need to unplug and slide over the cord. I have 2 with the cords fed through panels, so this is pretty inconvenient. Of course, if kitty wouldn't throw up hair balls on them, we wouldn't need to clean them for her so often. lol.

Great Value

We already had one in a smaller size, this was a second one we purchased for a second cat. We use these in an insulated, but unheated shop for our barn cats in the winter. Easy to clean, internal thermostat ensure it stays at the proper temperature even when it starts to warm up (won't overheat). The cats love them and it keeps them much warmer than blankets and straw alone. Our other one is still going strong after several years, I expect this one to be the same. Great price as many heated pads that are more expensive are not rated to use in the cold.
