Our grandchildren love Knex. They like to follow the instructions on the ideas sheets and also to invent their own. This was a great gift and has had lots of use!

Half of it came missing!!! For $50 that shouldn’t happen (FIXED ISSUE- they sent the rest!!)
UPDATE(1/29/21) I got the rest of it! They sent it to me they said on the 18th, but they said it could take 2 weeks since it’s very busy for their company, and I got it today. Very happy with their customer service and that they fixed the issue without any problems UPDATE(1/18 /21) I contacted K’nex right after I wrote this first review on January 1st, they just got back to me and said their very busy right now but they will send out a replacement in 2-4 weeks! I will write another update when / if I receive it! I’m SO upset and disappointed. So I bought this for my daughter for Christmas because I knew she’d love it. I just opened it and started building and my daughter says “mommy where eyes?” And I was like wow this doesn’t come with the eyes? So keep building with her and realize it’s missing half of everything! I posted a picture and everything i circled is missing! That’s HALF the set! I paid almost $50 for this that is unacceptable!!! I would have never noticed if my daughter didn’t ask where it was. She’s so upset she can’t make any of the little guys now because the feet are missing. All the eyes are missing we don’t even have one pair. Their wings are missing. Everything you need to make the creatures. I’m returning this and will attempt to buy from another company I guess. So mad because she LOVED this.

The kid Knex kept my grandson busy longer than any toy I have purchased so far. I only wish there were more pieces included for the price paid.

Great for Littles
I never knew they had K'Nex for little kids until last week when I had to look for it as a gift. One of the angel tree children I got asked for K'Nex and he is 4. I thought to myself, there's no way a 4 year old can play with K'Nex, my memory of K'Nex was building intricate sets with my dad when I was a teenager. But I get on Amazon, look it up, and sure enough there's several sets for this age range! I love that this set comes with 100 pieces and there's the ability to make multiple items. It's definitely something that can grow with a child and they won't get bored with it after building one thing. I think it's very cost effective as well. Since I got it as a gift, I wasn't able to actually play with it, but this is definitely something I'll be looking into when my daughter comes into that age range, probably more so for me than for her. :-) Great gift for a young child to allow them to tinker and solve problems.

Great, shareable building toy for children!
I purchased this toy after looking for a good shareable building toy for my almost 7 year old and 3 year old twins. They all love it so much. My 7 year old likes to follow the instructions and build the ideas in the pamphlet, but my 3 year olds like to just wing it and make up their own creations seeing as they're too little to follow instructions. My only complaint would be that it's a bit pricey, and my boys tend to fight over the pieces. I am definitely going to have to purchase another set if I want them to play more peacefully together. So we're looking at about $80 in Kid K'Nex...yikes. That being said, it's still a great toy, and I'm glad I purchased it to begin with.

Great but needed more pieces
These are great. Much bigger than regular knex so they are perfect for smaller hands. Both our 3 and 6 year old love them but with two sets of hands in the bucket we needed more pieces… the pieces you get in this set don’t even fill the bin they come in half way, we had to buy the big Oodles of Pals set in addition to this one in order to fill the bin.

Great for little minds!
My daughter is 3.5 yrs old. This is pretty great but a tad advanced for her to do solo at this age. As we conquer the learning curve and a bit of time passes this will be endless fun. Awesome creative and tactical thinking toy. One down side is some of the critical pieces do not come in a quantity that would allow you to make more than one figure. Simply choose another figure without that part or take apart the completed figure for the next. Not a big deal. I purchased these 50% off and just grabbed another set to ensure we could construct a few different figures without running into this issue. This may be one of my fav toy purchases for my daughter and would 100% gift this to another child.

Terrific Building kit
This is such a good product. Our 3 year old granddaughter set to building the most creative creatures as soon as she opened it. She’s able to put most pieces together on her own. There a large enough selection for us to build several of the items shown in the accompanying illustrated guide. It kept her happily busy for a good hour. Highly recommend, great value.
