Lots of fun!

My 3 1/2 year old grandchild loved this. It kept her attention easily.. We made up different games using this toy and played nonstop for quite a while. Definitely recommend!

VERY FUN!

This is like a real treasure hunt. Very Fun. Although you do not turn the key to open the chest, which would make sense, I had to look up a video and see that you push the key in the opening to open the lid. Then you dig out the treasure. There is an item on the bottom that opens as well. You use the device that rolls to make a map and learn how to unlock the treasure.

So fun

Kinetic sand is fun. While my younger children love to play with it, I too find myself jumping in and watching how it flows when manipulated. One of my children actually use kinetic sand while at her counseling appointments and it helps her to relax and makes the appointments easier for her to talk openly. I know this isn't a scenario that most would use it for but as far as a great product to sit around the table and get your kiddos to open up into discussions it really does help--and it's pretty darn fun too!

Fun digging for treasure!

My kids loved this, they had fun digging up the treasure, then burying it again. The treasure chest makes it more exciting and then of course they can play with kinetic sand for hours. Great for kids, any are really

Smaller tan I thought but great toy

Grandson loved it. Has a few hidden tricks which was a bonus. It was just smalller than I thought it should be. Love the color of the kinetic sand. Great idea.

Only black gems...keep looking for treasure!

I bought the Kinetic Sand, Amazon Exclusive Treasure Hunt Playset with 14 Surprise Reveals and 1.62lbs Rare Shimmer Gold Play Sand. The picture shows a variety of gems in all different colors and my son loves gems. He was originally disappointed Christmas morning when he only to found 5 black ones and nothing else. Imagine our surprise a week or so later when he uncovered an additional secret compartment that held the real treasure...5 more brightly colored gems. He couldn't be more pleased and excited about his new hiding spot for treasure.

Key doesn't work, design flaw

My son wanted this specifically because of the key and "lock". This key "works" by pushing it straight in and it's supposed to push the plastic back and open the top. The key is so tiny and flimsy and the inner plastic is so rigid that the key kept slipping into a small space inside the key hole and getting lodged inside, meanwhile there's no other way to open the top. We almost broke the key getting in. After a few times of that fiasco I broke the inner plastic so that we'd no longer get locked out of the chest. The concept is a great idea. He had fun with the treasure.
