SLOW POURING
I have been using for 6 months now. It is simple (add grounds and water and wait), it cleans up easily, I haven't had any leakage, and it looks really nice and clean in the fridge (ours has a window so this is a bonus). My only gripe is that it takes at least 30 second to pour a 12oz cup. There is no filtration after the interior filter, and I've tried venting to top to increase airflow but nothing does it. If a new version comes out with a larger spout I will upgrade because I have wasted precious time every AM that I can't get back :)

Great cold brew but a bit over priced
There are a bunch of cold brew products out there but there are a few that stand out from the rest. I went back and forth on several brands but ultimately settled on the kitchen aid as it just ticked all the boxes. I has a sleek look and fits absolutely perfect in my fridge. One of the things I like most about it is that I can simply open the fridge, put a glass under the spout and fill it up. I don't need to take a container out and pour, I don't need to unscrew anything, I just turn the spout on, fill my cup and turn the spout off. I know, first world problems right? Brewing: So I know that cold brew is supposed to be done with coarse grounds but frankly I'm too lazy to buy whole beans and grind them coarsely for cold brew so I just use standard pre-ground coffee. With this method I just open up the pack, dump it into the filter, fill 1/2 way with water, let it bloom and then fill the rest of the way. Let it brew for 24 hours, pull the filter and start enjoying cold brew. The filter on this is super fine which helps filter out the "sludge" that you might get with using regular grounds but honestly during the brew process most of that settles to the bottom and with the help of the textured glass bottom, it stays there without making it's way into your cup. Cleaning: Something I think that gets overlooked on coffee makers is the cleaning. This thing is super easy to clean. The big open top makes it super easy to reach into with your sponge in hand and scrub. The spout and "plumbing" can also be removed and taken apart if you want to do a full cleaning of every part that coffee touches. Issues: None here at all after around 3 months of use. There were some complaints about the spout leaking or some kind of leaking going on somewhere, I have not had any of those problems. Overall: Great choice for delicious cold brew coffee but with the unfortunate Kitchen-Aid premium price tag.

I seldom write reviews, good or bad, but just so pleased, wanted to share - Purchased because have always had my (2) Starbucks bottles per afternoon, but when they started costing per month as much as filling up my car w/ gas for the week, I then switched to a grocery brand which were just o.k., but when they soared to $2. per bottle, I knew action was needed. This machine is rock solid and built to last, any parts are easy to clean, just follow the simple directions and I ordered the Large size so my cold brew lasts me a full 12 days at (2) per day @ 2-1/2 oz. per drink in a 20 oz. cup. The taste is superb! I use the 12 oz. coarse ground Green Mountain Caramel Vanilla and in all sincerity, adore the taste of this cold brew to Any Starbucks I've ever drank....seriously! That's saying a lot because I am a bona fide coffee snob! lol The taste is rich and blended to perfection. Just buy it & try it, it fits in your fridge perfect over in the corner out of the way, and can guarantee you will not be returning it if quality tasting coffee is your thang!

I got this for my son as a gift. I am hooked! Love this thing. Never thought I would love cold brew but I do. My son loves it as well. Very well made. The steeper is very thin so you must be very gentle when washing by hand. The handle is permanent so water gets trapped under the rim after washing. If you are a water spot nut like me this will irritate you but it doesn't bug my son at all. He loved the look. I loved that it is kitchenaid! Can't go wrong with kitchenaid "since 1919" they have made life just a bit better! You will love the maker!

Glad I did not return it- I LOVE this coffee-maker!!!
As soon as I received this unit I washed it, ground my coffee, filled with filtered water, and set it out on the stand on my countertop. When I returned to the kitchen several hours later it had leaked out all over the countertop. Yikes! The enclosed literature did not mention anything about this. So I emptied it, washed it, and packed it up to return. Fortunately for me my husband decided to investigate. He found a Youtube video that showed how to tighten something-or-other. I am over the moon excited! This looks so nice on the countertop and fits nicely in the refrigerator. Keep in mind this makes coffee concentrate. I only use about 5oz (for my taste) to make one large iced coffee so one full 38 oz KitchenAid Cold Brew Coffee Maker is enough for the week for me and is well on the way to paying for itself. Not only do I save the 10+ minutes in the morning not stopping for my iced-coffee on the way to work, I am also saving money. One 12oz bag of DD's coffee beans at the grocery store is $7.00 and that replaces 7 DD's Lg iced coffees. I would normally spend about $28 for those (including tip). I am saving $21/week! WIN/WIN! I highly recommend this item, but be sure to test with water first and research how to tighten the gasket.

Keeps me in cold brew all summer long
I like to brew the grounds for a good 24 hours before filtering it through a real coffee filter and diluting it with water. I use more water than they suggest because the coffee just comes out so strong. I use a cheap pre-ground coffee because you need to use so much, but the cold brew process makes the coffee taste great, no matter the quality. I was using Mason jars to make cold brew before, but this is just so much easier and cleaner.

Well built, works as expected, could be better designed
I was new to iced coffee when I bought this--this is my only experience with making iced coffee. It works well enough, but I feel like it could have been a better product. For one thing, for the amount of space is consumes in the fridge, it seems to hold comparatively less liquid than you'd expect. Perhaps there needed to be a version with taller glass. Also the spout empties from the bottom, but the bottom is not sloped as much as it could be, so getting the final mm of liquid out is difficult... and that bottom design means that there is significant wasted space on the bottom of the unit. If you dispense from inside the fridge, it seems to take too long to fill a glass... and it slows as the amount of liquid diminishes. The handle doesn't fold to either side. This seems to have been done solely for branding reasons... the handle has the brand name on it and they want it to face forward when folded down. The top is not a perfect seal, and if you accidentally knock it you can leave a small crack for evaporation. And last but not least, while it is attractive, and feels solidly built, it also feels over priced. It would be a no brainer 5 star at half the price.
