I LOVE this lid
I LOVE this lid. My favorite on the market as far as the design goes. The six toilets in house all have them even if they came with manufacturer's own quiet close seats. It's comfortable and beautiful. The little covers in the back fit so nicely no one unfamiliar with the product knows how they come off without effort when you want to take seat off to clean. The closure is SO quiet - not a kid in the house who can slam it. The plastic stays looking nice and cleans easily - it will scratch if you use it as a 'shelf' for sharp/hard objects. Why not 5 stars?? The "bolts" seat comes with - What a pain to get right! Although I love the idea of hard plastic screws and 'bolts' for cleaning & no rust, the bolts are a pain to get on right. I called the plumber who suggested replacing them with same size stainless steel screws and bolts. So that's why not a 5 star... But really, I would not buy another toilet seat even if I substitute the bolts and screws.

It is very easy to install
The easy close work’s great, it was easy to install, and it was really easy to clean with the slide off anchors. It is a great product.

Good Toilet Seat but Pricey
The Glenbury Quiet-it Close with Grip Tight Bumpers is a quality toilet seat. It does install easily. The front bumpers are the grip-tight bumpers. The back bumpers are the standard hard plastic. For some strange reason, the buyer needs to install the grip-tight bumpers himself/herself. It is an easy job to perform, but I would think this could be handled by Kohler. I replaced the old Kohler seat because of a combination of bolts loosening and smooth plastic bumpers sliding. The net result of both actions caused the seat to shift which over time lead to hinge breakage. With the new toilet seat, I still find it necessary to check the bolts periodically for retightening. My chief complaint about the seat is the cost. I am sure that high cost is due to the color.

ideal, comfortable, attractive
Very comfortable and I just love the quiet close. UPDATE: 11/2017 seat has begun to peel off top layer of the seat coating. Whitish, flexible material bubbling up and peeling off. Not sure why. I have only used the Lysol sanitizing wipes to clean this in the few years that I've had it. Its in my master bath, so doesn't get a ton of use. Also, the quiet close feature stopped working for the lid about a year or so after purchase. It works to quietly close the seat portion, but the lid just slams down. I am currently in contact with Kohler now, hoping they will stand by their product and replace the defective seat. I will update once that correspondence has been completed.

this is a decent seat. Using it on a Kohler in our hall bath. That said I ended up going with a TOTO SS154#01 seat for our master bath that I also ordered on Amazon. For the similar price I found the Toto to be a more substantial seat and more comfortable to sit on. The back portion of the Toto seat has a deeper recess providing more comfort when you sit. Also the back of the Toto seat has an easy clean cover which helps avoid getting dust/dirt around the back of the seat.

Makes noise when you sit on it
I ordered this seat to replace an old wood one. Seat looks great , but when you sit it squeaks and pops. It is like the back is too low for the front. All was installed properly, and it works great closing. Fit is awesome, just the darn noise when you sit down. The cheaper seat I purchased does not have this problem. Of course once it is opened, you cannot return. How can you know this seat squeaks until you try to use it?

Needed new seat
Needed a new toilet seat, after having a problem with an after market flush handle, I decided to go for an original manufacture replacement. I look and works great. It was easy to install, but the replacement is just not as robust as the original seat the was solid. The new one kind of hollowed out, which makes me think it will be more likely to break in the future. I hope this helps

Pretty, but Hinges break and quiet close mechanism can fail quickly
Doesn't really hold up; lost its hydraulics in 2 years. Bought this seat in March 2015, and yet I had to replace it in April 2017, here on Amazon, because it flat out died with its quiet close function...as in it dropped like a rock out of the sky. It had a minor tendency to slip, but that wasn't nearly as bad a problem as the hinges that break on my seats. Takes a while to see how these products do or don't hold up, that when not one, not two, but THREE KOHLER Quiet Close seat hinges break (as in crack apart where they attach to the toilet bowl). Not sure? I didn't think to take pix; I had toilets to fix, but check out my purchase of multiple hinge repair kits, from Amazon and verifiable here, in less than six months. Seats are again working fine, but here's the deal: What is your total cost of ownership for a lousy toilet seat? For the comfort of a seat that doesn't scare the hell out of you after a quick pee? $65 for the initial seat; then $25 every couple of years to replace the hinge mechanism. Compared with the old fall down-BANG toilet seat for maybe $30 bucks at the local HD, and lasting about as long as the life of the toilet itself? I'm having a hard time seeing the BANG FOR MY BUCK here, and am starting to think I would rather take my chances with the occasional, but much cheaper BANG TO THE EARS. I fail to see how Kohler couldn't test this product long enough to see how flimsy the construction is at the point of maximal use. My results came in less than a year in two cases, and two years in one case. In all fairness, I have no experience with Bemis, but it still sounds more like planned obsolescence here, and Kohler is laughing all the way to the bank.

Fits well
Arrived quickly & was exactly as described. Bought these for two Kohler toilets that are 9 years old. They arrived when a contractor was working at our house so he installed them - it didn't take him long & he didn't complain about it being difficult. Looks nice on the toilet.
