No even close to 9 inches

Purchased the item and installed it. Not easy to install but I expected that, Does not leak but I expected that What I did not expect that it is not 9 Inches as advertise on Amazon. I decided to install since it was longer than the one I had and I needed more water in the tank, did not wanted to wait to replace it. So false advertisement and I bet you nobody cares

Easier then calling a plumber!

Twist and pull, the old rubber was leaking, the new one went in with a little force, but it's to be expected, to make a seal. Make sure you use silicone on the toilet like the manufacture did, where the seal rest.

umm... something is missing here... ** UPDATED **

My Kohler toilet is 20 years old and the water was constantly running very slowly so I decided to replace the flapper but thanks to Kohler being the expensive and proprietary product that ignores all bathroom standards, I could not find any toilet flapper that fits mine. ???? I actually purchased 5 different flappers from local hardware stores but none of them fit as Kohler's flapper was much wider. ???? Luckily, I was able to find the same flapper on Amazon but the price difference between just the flapper and this flush valve kit was minimal so I decided to get this to replace the flush valve itself since it's been 20 years and who knows what else might go wear and tear soon... When I opened the amazon box, I was shocked... I just found the flush valve kit and a manual without any sort of packaging! I was very turned off and disgusted by it because maybe this was a used or returned product? I mean, who sells a product without any packaging? Where's the retail box? or at least a plastic bag or something... We are talking about genuine Kohler parts, people.... ???? Anyways, I ended up returning it and got the Kohler flapper only and as you can see, that was properly retail packaged and luckily it replaced my old flapper perfectly and stopped the leak. Please don't get this product, unless you don't mind the open box or returned or even worse, used product. You've been warned. ** Added pictures of the Kohler flapper I got and comparison picture with my old flapper **

It's a good product

It is a good product, great customer service. The only glitch in installation was the washer comes with the product is a little thinker than it supposed to and I had to re-use old one to install the flush valve. All-in-all, all went well

Exact replacement for a Kohler #3435 with an AA code. However, it included incorrect installation instructions and had the gasket installed upside down. Just match the gasket with the flush valve that you are replacing and it will not leak.
